  1. Cannot wait to get this boat. I saw one exactly like it on the water yesterday while I was plunking around in my Bass Raider 8 and it looked a thing of beauty.
  2. Deadly lure. I have caught about 30 fish on the shad color 4-8' runner. I've caught Largemouth, Smallmouth, Crappie, and Muskie on it this spring.
  3. How bout I eat some hay. I can lay by the bay and make things out of clay. I just may. What do you say?
  4. Been catching a lot of Bass on Plum Orchard Lake and Dan Hale Reservior on Rapala Shadow Rap Jerkbaits
  5. Great my 2011 Toyota Tacoma SR5 is prewired for that. Hopefully this boat has it.
  6. Does this boat have 4 pin or 6 pin connector for electric hookup on trailer to activate break lights/turn signal?
  7. I ask this as a serious question (with a half smirky smile). Saw a guy fishing a bright red crankbait on TV and he said the reason he choses red in moderately clear water is because it annoys bass and they strike out of madness. Isn't this a typical reaction strike? A dark red would be more of a crawfish color? I had to rewind it and rewatch it to make sure I heard him right. Have you ever read or heard that Red makes Bass angry?
  8. I did. He told me he wants to take me to a local lake and to meet up and fish maybe a couple of hours to show it off and to drive it a little and see if I like it. To the earlier poster, it has a 40HP Mercury outboard.
  9. What kind of livewell does this boat have? Did they come with tilt/trim on the outboard?
  10. Thanks for the replies. Based on the pictures I have seen it looks to be in top shape and he is a fishing guide and takes really good care of it. Hopefully it works out for my first bass boat.
  11. Thanks for the reply. I think a 40 HP would be plenty because a) I have never owned a boat with an outboard before and I am used to fishing two people out of an 8ft pelican so anything should be a huge upgrade. My thoughts are this is a great entry boat to learn how to use and maintain it. If I can get a good 5 years out of it then maybe trade it in on something a little newer and up to date once I learn how to keep up with it.
  12. Guy my wife works with is thinking of selling his bass boat. It is either a 92 or 93 Bass Tracker TX 17 with a 40HP outboard. I fish out of a Pelican Bass Raider right now but have been keeping my eyes open on a boat if the price is right. The NADA price for this setup is $2,020. He said he would sell for Blue Book value to get a down payment to buy a pontoon for his family. Thoughts on this boat if anyone has any experience with it?
  13. It hit right at the boat and the water was stained so it was like a sillouette of a monster with that snout appearing out of no where. It made me jump to be honest. Most aggressive fish i have ever hooked bar none.
  14. While bass fishing with a Rapala Shadow Rap. Gosh what a ferocious fish thst thing is.
  15. $2,200 With trailer or do you use a pickup?
  16. Pay a lump sum for a good used boat for around $5K or finance a new one for $12-15K?
  17. Look up the Live Target Golden Shiner Lipless Crankbait
  18. Is that the anchor you have on yours or a rudder on the transom?
  19. In male bass vs female bass?
  20. When it starts, they will hit it like a machine gun.
  21. There is no question to silly or too small that I have ever felt embarrassed to ask.
  22. Big White Buzzbait across the middle
  23. I always go with a traditional shad color for clear water and a crawfish orange or tiger perch or something of that nature of dark water. A bright look can sometimes cause a reaction strike on bass that are being hard to deal with.
  24. I caught all of my fish today out of a Pelican Bass Raider 8
