Where in the world did you find one with trailer and motor for $1,800?

Anyone else have this boat? I have a 55lb transom trolling motor I could mount on this baby. Looks like a brand new one with trailer would run around 3,500 brand new. Can two people fish out of this? Looking for something durable, easy to take care of that will last a long time that won't break my bank. Thoughts?

Alright Bassers, what time of day do you prefer this time of year. In my area, its in the 40s and 50s at night and around mid 70s in the day. Let's say its clear and sunny. Morning? Afternoon? Evening? Night?

I'd be happy to be able to afford a good used boat lol. Muchless trade every few years.

A local lake I fish a lot has just gotten quite a few Musky in the last few years. I had one hit a Rapala Shadow Rap in stained water about 4 feet from the boat. Thing absolutely came up out of nowhere. It made me flinch when it struck. It struck and jerked its head side to side and got off. I don't see how something like that doesn't get hooked. It scratched the paint off the wooden bait. Craziest thing I've ever seen. I'm not afraid of any type of fish species but that thing absolutely freaked me out. I wouldn't know how to hold one if I actually did catch one.

I have tried frogs on top of the lillies without much success, but it could be the fisher and not the fish. I did try flipping grubs and such along the tops of the lillies right along the bank but no luck. I fish out of a bass raider with a trolling motor so I don't wanna get too deep into the lillies and get stuck. I did order three packs of flukes and I have yet to take them out. I think I will try flipping them or hitting gaps between lillies in the water. I caught several good sized bass down at the very end of the electric only branch as far as I could get throwing buzzbaits in the lanes of water between the patches of lilly pads. Especially right at dark.

My favorite lake to fish is a very small lake in Southern West Virginia. There is a branch off of the main lake that goes back to a run in about a 1/2 long. This entire branch is electric only. It is a good mixture of wooded structure along with some grassy areas. Almost the entire body of this part of the lake is boardered by about 10 or 20 yards of Lilly pads that grow right against the bank. You can hear fish smacking right along the bank, but I cannot identify if it is Bluegills or Bass. I have been successful fishing this in the following ways: 1) Running a spinnerbait parallel to the lillies with long casts 2) Running buzzbaits along the lilly pad edges 3) Running Crankbaits and Jerkbaits parallel to the lillies with long casts. I have never had luck flipping creatures or frogs along the lillies. How would you fish this lake? Images attached at the bottom.

I looked at some G3's at a local dealer and for the 17 foot new they were asking $18,000. I can order a new Ranger RT 178 cheaper than that. I thought they were highly expensive for Aluminum.

My Dad caught a bass earlier this summer in WV with the same thing. We thought it had been fanning out its bed and it was minor trama to its tail fin.?

I appreciate the advice. I was thinking of trying to find a Bass Tracker 160 or 170 from the mid to early 90s. My kids won't be fishing with me much for a long time. This is Daddy's toy lol. I just feel like every single boat I look at is just a hair outside my budget. If fact, i have no budget right now.

Got the itch hard for a bass boat. I don't even care of it is a used boat that is older that runs good. I have a family that includes three small kids. Money is tight and we always try to budget. How in the world to some people go out and by big expensive boats? How do you save money for a boat? How do you go about buying a first bass boat?

Rapala Shadow Rap and a Black/Red Buzzbait with a Silver blade

Anyone use it in their outboards? I'm in the process of getting a 1991 Bass Tracker TX 17 with a 40 HP Mercury. Since it is an older boat I thought about adding a little Marvel Mystery to help clean out everything and to help it run smooth. I've used it in my truck, in my atv, in a lawn mower, in a weedeater, and thought about trying it in my boat, but thought I'd check anyone elses experiences first.

The fish looked very skinny for its size. I think it had just spawned and is healing up from that.

Come to think of it, this fish was near heavy cover around a couple of fallen trees and a good sized beaver dam about 20 yards away at the bank. He said he felt like he got hung up and when he jerked it loose the strike hit about 3 seconds later. Wonder if the fish hurt itself when going in for the bite? But also, there are no signs of trama anywhere either.

Dad caught a nice little bass the other evening in southern WV on a white Colorado Bladed spinnerbait with a brown pork trailer. When he held it up we noticed it was bleeding but didn't have evidence of any trama. The blood appeared to be coming out of the fish's tail fin. Anybody have any ideas?

Within the last few months, the amount of packages from retail and mystery box has put the number of bags of soft plastics I have over the top. Instead of letting those things keep piling up in my tackle bag I decided to organize them all in a couple of hard plastic tackle boxes, and trashed the individual packages. Should soft plastics be kept in their own zip packaging or organized for easy storage in a box? How do you do yours?

The Bill Dance blooper of the snake falling out of the tree on him is my favorite.

I purchased the Rapala Shadow Rap in Shad Color 4'-8' at Dicks Sporting Goods the week it came out. I have caught fish on it every single day that I have gone fishing this year including Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, a gigantic Crappie, and a Muskie. My best day out was 11 Largemouth on it and that one Crappie.

Had a lot of real good success throwing a Midnight Special single big bladed black or dark blue spinnerbait. Reel it as slow as you can just enough to make the blade spin without dragging the bottom. Also had great luck with Pop-Rs and Buzzbaits. Nothing more exciting than still water in pitch dark absolutely blowing up a churning buzzbait. It has made me jump out of my skin before it has been so loud. Even catching small bass like that is exciting because they can cause just as big of a raukas as the big bass. In my experience at night - the bigger the bait, the bigger the bass.
