The only solid benefit that I can say about the Lew's over the Orra is that it has a external lube port and that it has a zirconia line guide. The Lew's also has a extra gear ratio of 5:0:1 which is useful for crankin deep crankbaits. Overall, I have to say that both reels are approximately the same value, and that you should just use each of them before you choose them.

Read your facts first before you answer. On TW's website, the Orra SX is said to have HPCR bearings which are definitely better than Lew's generic "premium" ball bearings. Adding to that, the Lews is said to have a double shield on the bearings which makes cleaning them harder. Also, the internals of the Abu's are definetly not "identical" to the lews.

In the winter, bass just slow down a lot. Even though the water temperature might be higher than usual, the sunlight and dead foliage all affect the bass's lethargy. Even when the lakes are not iced up, in winter, I usually catch no bass.

Yah this is where I get the majority of my lures. In Jersey, there are no "dedicated" fishing department stores like BPS or Gander so I usually end up going to Dick's or Wally World to get my lures. I think the last time I bought lures and baits was back in August when my local Walmart had a soft plastic clearance. I bought 3 packs of senkos and another 3 packs of ribbontails and I'm still going strong on those worms!

Have you fished lake manaplan before?? Its in central jersey and I live pretty close to it so I want to hear some fishing reports about it.
