  1. Aye.. Lets forget this argument and just GO FISH!
  2. Yes but I am saying that the majority of fineese fishing is done with spinning gear. Honestly, who would want to throw a weightless senko on baitcasting gear? Look at what all the pros use. For fishing weightless, finesse plastics, almost all use spinning rigs. I'm not trying to offend anybody, but am just voicing my opinion.
  3. Sufix siege has a lot of memory. If you don't like memory on mono, don't buy it. I have a spool of 17lb siege that feels like a metal wire.
  4. Go with the victory. Like TorqueConverter said, the other reels you mentioned are cheap, bottom of the line graphite reels. I guarantee you, they will eventually wear out after a season or two. What's your budget? There are plenty other good reels besides the victory in its price range.
  5. LMAO. BUT IT IS A SPINNING SETUP. So what I assumed was right..... If it is a fineese setup for soft plastics, then it most likely be a spinning setup.
  6. If its a fineese rod, I would assume a spinning setup
  7. Haha yeah thanks for the shake head and the worms
  8. My friend has a ugly stick tiger. Lets just say, when I fished with it, it felt like my ice hockey stick rather than my graphite fishing rods. The only thing I think it could be good for are catfish and inshore fishing.
  9. What's the best way to rig GYCB kut tail worms?? Texas rigs or shakey heads??
  10. I was fishing from the bank in a small pond on a rainy day. I cast out my worm and felt a huge hit and then I lost my footing and fell into the pond. Needless to say, I was mad but I still managed to catch my personal best bass on that hit.
  11. What's your Beef against big game?
  12. Are you sure Pluefger does Gander Reels? I know they do BPS reels, but not Gander reels. Daiwa also does cabelas reels.
  13. Yah I am 99% it is a fenwick rod. Fenwick also makes a rod for Cabelas called the "Silverhawk" which has Fuji Alconite guides too, and looks exactly the same expect for the paint. From what I heard, the SilverHawk is a really good rod and so should the Tournament rod be then.
  14. Just a heads up, on Amazon, they retail for usually under 30$. On TW, they retail for 50$.
  15. Yes After thinking about it, their rods are probably made by Fenwick. Both Fenwick and Pluefger are owned by Pure Fishing, so it is hard to say which company makes the rod. I'm pretty sure that no other company would have made these rods. They look nothing like quantum, shimano, or abu rods. They might be St. Croix's, but I Highly doubt it. I'll place my money on the Fenwick.
  16. Made by Pluefger?? Just guessing. Their reels are made by daiwa I think. Or by quantum
  17. I'm thinking about buying a pair from Amazon. Whats a good color?
  18. Its deep enough. In canals, its fine, but in bigger lakes flipping wont cut it. For bank fisherman like me, I need distance in order to reach the spots of bigger bass. But in canals, that completely changes and flipping and pitching and punching should be fine.
  19. I have had an occurrence in which when I was fishing a t-rig worm. I had a bite, and then I missed the hook set. I was really mad, as I felt a good fish on the end of the line. So then I casted to that exact same spot again, and surprisingly I managed to catch that bass that I previously missed. It was a good 3lbs. Although this might have happened once, I believe that bass will eventually develop a "third" sense towards lures that they have been caught on already.
  20. I stand corrected. I also thought that spinning rods had the same number of guides as casting rods... I guess not.
  21. I wouldn't chance on it. Honestly, companies make slight changes to reels that alter the shape slightly, and the spools can no longer be interchanged between reels anymore. Anyways, why do you want to switch spools?
  22. Comparitive to spinning reels, Baitcasting reels give you much more power over the fish and there frames don't flex as much.
  23. Dang.. that's one fat fish on one fat grub!
  24. Even dead cover is good for bass. Most fish converge near dead plants because they store heat.
  25. For bigger, stronger fighting fish baitcasters make the job a lot easier. Also, baitcasters have better casting distance, power, and the rods are generally cheaper than spinning rods (cuz of the smaller guides). When I first learned baitcasting a few months ago, it took me a month to get over the learning curve. But eventually, now I love baitcasting and cant imagine using spinning gear for anything else except soft plastic.
