  1. So recently Roadwarrior send me a boatload (and I mean a BOATLOAD) of custom jigs. I have never fished a jig in my life before, and I have no idea what to do. What type of Jig is this. How should I fish it? Does the Yamamoto double tail grub trailer match with the jig? Should I trim the weedguard? I'm fishing in relatively light cover ponds. Will the color of the jig be good for fishing stained water? Picture of the Jig is on the bottom. Thanks y'all, Vince
  2. You honestly cant compare the two. The citica is twice the reel of the black max, but it also cost twice as much. Its like comparing lemons and oranges. They both are different.
  3. 0$. Living the high school fishing life until I turn 16, when I have to start paying.
  4. It usually just an underwater ledge or indentation in the rocks. In saltwater, reefs look much more different than in freshwater.
  5. The online sale will probably start tommroow, but the deals definetly wont be as good as in-store. For example, the PQ's will definetly not be 59$ online
  6. Oh lol. The gist I heard were that they had limited quantitys of PQ's at the store, and it was first come first serve. I heard from somebody else that this year, they would be sold out quickly.
  7. You just missed the sale at Dick's. Those red clearance lablels were supposed to end and be rolled out after the 31st of January.
  8. Texas Rig worms are extremely consistent; whenever the bite turns off, just use them, and you will almost always be guaranteed to catch at least one fish.
  9. Isn't it 16? I'm in high school too and from what I heard, in NJ you don't need a license until you r 16
  10. Everywhere else excepts cabelas has free shipping over 50$.Its ridiculous trying to order rods from cabelas online, as usually a $10+ shipping occurs.
  11. The new Ike rod looks SWEET!!
  12. The sale ended on 31st of January. Now, there are no more 50% of clearance items. But if you go into Academy, right now they are having their sale.
  13. They look nice. They r probably comparable to the fenwcik hmg's
  14. Go to the store right when it opens up. I guarantee you, the pq's will be sold out by noon.
  15. If it says Bantam, then it is definitely not recent. Can you post a picture of it?
  16. Oh lol, I was always under the impression that Magnesium was the lightest and best reel material.
  17. Lol no I am just saying. Magnesium is supposed to be ultra light, and compared to my graphite reel, somehow the Supreme weighs more.
  18. They have a wooden forgrip which looks really nice.
  19. Gander Mountain Rod Ratings are a little bit odd. I would consider one of their Medium Rods to be a Medium light and a Medium Light rod to be Light.
  20. I have a Gander Mountain Guide Series Rod, and I have to say that it is decent. The guides are Pac Bay Hialoy and hold up fine. It is pretty sensitive and it is more than enough sensitive for bass fishing. An light rod might be a little to light for bass pickerel. I would suggest you step it up to a medium-light rod at the bare minimum, as my MH rod can barely handle bigger bass (4-5 LB).
  21. Yah it seems really smoove as of not. But the one thing that I have to say is that it is heavy for a magnesium reel.
  22. Has anybody ever used this reel? If so, how is it? I got it for 49$ at dicks on clearance and I want to know how it is. I got the 8230 spinning reel size and will probably use it for texas rigs and senkos.
  23. This is my first time using Jigs, and I have noticed the Jig I bought has a built-in weed guard. Will it negatively affect hook-up rates as it looks as if it blocks the hooks point? Also, are weed guards necessary when fishing lighter cover?
  24. The warranty is absolutely atrocious!
  25. Some forms of knots cannot pass through them
