  1. I like to use the spooltek 4 inch fatty perch. It has great action and always manages to hook up to some nice bass, tarpon, or snook.
  2. I like to use a Spooltek 4 inch fatty perch. I catch a ton of fish on them including: Peacock Bass, Largemouth Bass, Tarpon, and Snook. I like to work it near the weeds.
  3. For peacock bass I like to use live bait. For bait I throw out a very small amount of bread on a very small hook with a bobber and I end up catching baby Mayan Cichlids, Bluegills, and occasionally a Tilapia. I then throw this out on on another rod with a bobber. I usually have a decent sized peacock bass in about 20 minutes or so.
  4. 0 inches. Im in Soflo. It is starting to get cold though its getting in the 50's and early in the morning in the 40's
  5. Top water frogs. The only kind of frog I can catch fish on is a rebel buzz n' frog. When it comes to hollow body I have absolutely no success. My last 3 fishing trips i threw exclusively hollow bodied frogs and I got nothing. Other than that I catch fish on everything else.
  6. Oh yeah they have teeth. Imagine a bowfin but ten times more aggressive
  7. What I do is at the beginning of each month I will put change in a piggie bank along with some dollar bills. After about 3 or 4 months I will go out to a Bass Pro or some other fishing shop.
  8. KVD Squarebill crankbaits in a shad color have been working the best for me. Another good bait has been Bubble Gum colored senko fished with a dropshot.
  9. I need to learn how to fillet fish better because the bullseye snakehead down here is one of the best tasting fish i've ever had.
  10. No seasons where I fish. Besides it always 75+ degrees year around here so ice wont be a problem.
  11. I am a New Member from South Florida. currently fish twice a week (usually on Saturday and Sunday) depending on my work schedule and schoolwork. I joined to learn more tips on bass fishing and new baits that are coming out. My other interest are the Washing Redskins, Atlanta Braves, Florida Panthers and Chevy trucks.
  12. I caught both of these beauties down in South Florida on senkos wacky rigged with a dropshot
  13. I love those spinnerbaits! I get those all the time for snakehead. I like to put a treble hook trailer on to the original one. Works like a charm.
  14. 7.2 Pound Largemouth: Caught on corn while grass carp fishing
  15. I use a 3/8 ounce and the color I usually use is more like one down below.
  16. Yesterday I picked up a new lure at Bass Pro Shops. It is a Spooltek 4 inch fatty perch for $15. Don't get me wrong that's a lot for a lure but this lure is one of the best you can get for Snook fishing. Well anyways I managed to snag it on a PVC pipe in the water and lost it but luckily I bought 2.
  17. I find that the C-14 canal is a very good starting place to fish and also Loxahatchee is great if you have a boat.
  18. Heddon Torpedos and Rooster tails are the baits that have been slaying Bass and Snakehead by my house. Occasionally I will put on a Senko wacky rigged with a drop shop which usually catches a few Bass.
  19. I'm in Coral Springs. I noticed that when nothing is biting the lures that i usually use I have to switch to a really small bait. The bait I find the most successful at this time is a Wordens Rooster Tail. I work it with a medium speed and it always produces fish when used.
  20. Im down here in Broward County and the Bullseye Snakeheads have been biting like crazy. I catch most of them on spinnerbaits with a trailer hook but I have managed to catch a few on senko worms. I was just wondering if they have been biting for anyone else and if they are what bait you are using.
  21. I fish in a residential lake right across from my house. It is in the Coral Springs and Tamarac area.
  22. I have been slaying bass in the ft laudederdale area. I have been using KVD squarebill crankbaits.
  23. You'll find a ton of fish in there I have only fished there once considering it is pretty far from Broward but when I went I actually managed to catch a jack in there along with a few peacocks and Mayan cichlids.
  24. I really like to use heddon torpedoesfor peacock bass. Another bait I like to use for them is a KVD strike king square bill crankbait or a strike King jig with a crawdad on it.
