Just went to dsg and almost every lure or soft plastics was buy one get one 50%. Didnt even have to be same product. If it was regular price you got the other 50%. I bought a lunker frog and got my gycb for 3 40 a pk. Good deal ends tomorrow.

I bought the new energy this year. And I love it!! I don't know why people bash quantum but I love the reels. Had a little adjusting to do with the internal brakes. Glenn and and another member helped me on that and it casts like a dream. You will not be disappointed.

I fished all this week. Ice is all clear in central indiana. But the bite was slow. Caught 6 with senkos but it was painfully slow. Almost had to hit them in the head for them to bite. Tried jigs, spinners, pretty much anything. But senkos was my success. They are still pretty sluggish. But still was nice to cast and catch a few. Need a little warmer temps.

I'll second that primetime. Think confidence is huge. I usually fish with my set colors wm rd flk, motor oil, gp anything. But I like to buy different bait colors just to try or experience. You never know what will work. So does it matter really if they see red or color? Try anything, its all about catching bass.

Yeah it has a setting inside of 0-6 and you just turn it. I don't think I can I pop in and out any brakes. Just needed to know what would be a good reference of a number to start at? If anyone has any thoughts that be great. Thanks again suspendingjerk for your help

So did you have to open it up to mess with the braking inside?

I got the quantum energy pt and used it for the first time today. Was having trouble with backlashing. I was messing with external brakes and tightening the knob to the correct lure weight. But never messed with the internal braking. My goal is I want to cast without having to the thumb the spool like some of my other baitcasters. Question is do I need to mess with the internal brakes to maybe achieve this? Anyone that has experienced with this brand would be greatly to explain this to me as its my first Quantum. Thanks for any help.

Love motor oil!!! Think its an underrated color. Or least around here I dont hear to many people use. I clean up on this color. Like stated before tho, junebug, black, watermelon red flake, anything watermelon. Ohhh take rage crawls and t rig them always great!

95% of the time I just throw plastics. Other 5 throw spinners. But senkos, crawls, beavers anything thats soft. What she said lol

Well I haven't seen this one and thankfully haven't had this problem. But some I know have. Fishing trip+ long hours= Preparation H! Could cut a trip short if its bad lol. And I know some out there know lol
