What Do You Eat While Fishing?
I eat these, just have to remember plates, oh well Tim Hortons cups and tackle boxes work to. In reality I only BBQ on the boat a couple times a year while fishing for walleye. 13 hours a day jigging in the same spot you got time to cook. When fishing for smallies trips average around 6 hours so I just grab something on the way to the lake and just take a bunch of water, I toss a few boxes of granola bars in the boat in the spring and eat one every few outings.

Who would you fish with for a day?
Aaron Wiebe, I would love to fish with that dude, although he's a multi species angler he is a very well respected bass tournament angler in Canada he won the KBI on LOTW a few years back. If you haven't been to his youtube channel uncut angling do yourself a favor and check it out.

Cannot WAIT for Spring!
Last day on the water was November 13 for me. I can't wait for spring, but we just got a couple feet of snow so I think it's a ways away.

Got the itch, want to go fishing tomorrow - good idea?
It would be a tough go from shore, but you can't win if you don't play. If it were me I would bomb a tube or TRD rig as far out as I could and drag it super slow back to shore if weeds aren't an issue. When you think you're dragging it slow enough, slow down more, each cast should take more than 2 minuets to retrieve.

Spots or patterns.
I agree with both of you, go where you know, but keep an open mind, be ready to try something/somewhere new if the norm fails.

Bass Room
Wow, some pretty sweet rooms, I have no where near the stuff that some of you have. I'm going to show my wife some of these so she'll lay off me a bit. Anyway here is my corner of the world, every year it seems to grow.

The Final Push ~
Fished Monday, Friday, and Sunday last week and the fishing got slower every day. Monday I fished 4 hours in the afternoon and got 11 smallies total and the first 9 were between 18 and 20 inches, 4 were over 19 great day, that was the end of the fun, Friday was 3.5 hours on the water and 5 fish, Sunday was 3 fish in the same time frame. Changed the bottom end oil yesterday and cried.

Not all giant bass are smart
I caught the same smallmouth twice last year once in the spring and again in late summer. It was a unique fish as it was missing part of the bottom of it's tailfin, when I caught it again in late summer I compared pictures from the spring and it was the same fish. 3 years ago in early June I caught the same smallmouth 2 days in a row. First day I caught a bass with a hook and about a foot of crappy line hanging out of it's lip. A sore had formed around where the hook was, I removed the hook and released the fish. The next morning I caught the same sore mouth bass.

Texas Rigged Senko Fishing
keep your rod tip as low as possible when working the bait, or reel down before setting the hook. I get the best hook sets when my rod tip starts out about 45 degrees tip pointed at the water and ends 45 degrees to the sky.

Great Night
Fishing was tough today, very light bite, lost a couple bigger fish but still managed a pair of 19"s, and a hand full of others in all different sizes. ended up getting em on a Ned Rig, had never tried one before today but I'll have a bunch on order soon. having a heck of a time uploading the other pic, says its to big no matter how small I make it.

What Does Confident Fishing Mean To You
confident fishing comes in many different forms, and can have many different outcomes. sometimes it can prevent you from having a good day if you are to confident in one specific technique. up until the last couple years I was spending to many fish-less days pounding shore lines with spinners, when I should have been working slow and low. I have had some fantastic days on Mepps spinners, and had a lot of confidence in them. I still do have confidence in them, but only at specific times of the year. I had to force myself to try and gain the same type of confidence in other baits better suited for the time of year. Don't waste days on out of season confidence.

Great Night
went out for just under 5 hours Thursday night and got into em pretty good. 2 18", an 18 1/2", a 19" and this girl was the biggest at 20 3/4" . I was by myself and didn't get a good picture. got another dozen between 16 and 17 3/4". going again tomorrow and hope the bite is still hot, we have a bit of weather moving through my part of Manitoba so I guess we'll see.

I blew it....
I have lost my fair share of big smallies boat side. It hurts bad. But one thing I have started telling myself is that, if the fish didn't get to win sometimes it would greatly depreciat the thrill of the fight and the joy we get from landing a biggin. Better to have fought and lost, than to have never fought at all. Still hard to swallow on a fish that size.
