  1. A buddy of mine made the mistake of getting on the locks at East Lake to pickup a lost lure. As luck would have it the FWC saw him and wrote a ticket. He has to go to court. Anyone been thru this kinda thing?
  2. Had one with a ported barrel. Shot real nice groups.
  3. I've fished Winter Park for many years. Fish tend to be mostly small. Easy to catch 20 to 30 a trip. Not much parking at the two ramps. Fun chain to boat around. You do need a permit.
  4. When I'm short on time or too lazy to take the boat out I run down to any of the locks. Shiners, super flukes, or Storm swim baits work well morning or evening. Bream, specks, and large cats too.
  5. If you rent at Eastlake, go thru Fells Cove and into Lake Ajay, take the canal up to the locks. All the locks on the Toho chain are holding nice bass early in the morning and evening.
  6. Everyone should fish with badhabit once. You have to understand Dave is blind. He uses a "seeing eye dog" up on the bow of the boat. Little tricky in the fog
  7. I had a defective reel seat on a Crucial spinning rod and Bitters Bait and Tackle replaced it with out a problem.
  8. I catch Double Digit Bass all the time 01 thru 10 ;D
  9. When dealing with companies, you'll catch more flies with honey rather than the sqeaky wheel gets the oil.
  10. Not True....Stradic 2500s are the number one reel used here on the east coast of FL. We use 10-20lb. braid and light to med. 7' rods for trout, snook, reds, and tarpon. (some weighing over 40lb.)
  11. Look at the new stuff the G3 boats have in them, just wash it out at the end of the day.
  12. palomar w/braid uniknot w/mono
  13. The 5500 is one of the best basic reels available. I've fished them for 20 years after snook on the coast. I have landed 100lb. tarpon with it mounted on a flipped stick. I spool mine with 20lb. silver thread, can't see any pike that will beat you in a fight. Even with a 2 brake system, don't worry about it.
  14. Go to the Microsoft website, they have a free tool for resizing.
  15. In FL you can not draw your weapon to win an argument.(That will get you 3 years with "Bubba")
  16. Bilge exit port should be higher on the side of boat. The leaning problem can be taken care of with trim tabs (Lenco or Bennet systems)
  17. So, when are you coming up Avid?
  18. That rig is perfect. Make sure you have a full spool of line and a 40lb. mono leader.
  19. NO...the roller doesn't HUM. But when it doesn't turn on a slow wind, the braid moving across the non-moving roller makes that noise. A drop of fine oil fixes it.
  20. One drop of Kroil on the roller and all my Sustains and Stradic went quiet. Thats why we spend the big bucks, for balance, drags, and quiet operations.
  21. Don't forget to add jetskiers.
  22. Even though it's new, the bail roller needs a drop of fine oil. That slow reeling noise is the roller not turning.
  23. The girls birthday party...w/doggie cupcakes.
  24. Micro-Flats boat...w/custom cleaning table :-X
