  1. I think I posted this before, but this is put out by the PAFBC, and this past season we checked it against our fish and found it "relatively" accurate. Take in account this is for Northern strain, and season.
  2. You said all the other guys are throwing big swimbaits, try throwing something similar, but different, try throwing a big swimbait on a swimshot rig. Might just trigger those big fish,v that those other guys are fishing for .
  3. "Plastics" is all I usually have luck with...slow rolling Hudds.
  4. Welcome. Not from Jersey, but fish the Big D, and waters there all the time, both fresh and salt...does that count?
  5. There's also a flat tail floating version for deadstick presentations, but shhhhh...don't tell anyone! ?
  6. An 8" Hudd. ?
  7. I used wood, but it's heavy. if I had time, and money I would use aluminum and rivets.
  8. Stick with what I know, a senko, but the grub, tube, and super fluke would be acceptable replacements.
  9. It bothered me so much that I hunted it down(you know what it's like, ?) Joe Bucher! http://www.muskyhunter.com/moon-secrets/
  10. LOL. The whole solunar thing intrigues me since reading an article by a famous fishing guide from the upper midwest (unfortunately his name escapes me), but I subscribe by the theory that the best time to go fishing is whenever you can.
  11. Exactly, and like Tom said, wouldn't the effects of the moon be when it's proximity is close to the Earth. I also believe it's light also has an effect, allowing fish to feed at night more effectively. Notice the best fishing times, in relation to the moons position.Coinciding with the high and low tide, when it rises, sets, directly overhead, and directly underfoot. Btw, that's a super pig!
  12. A-jay, what time of day? Here, the moon set at 6:30 AM, moonrise was at 5:15 PM. What affect could the "Super Moon" have if it wasn't even in the sky?
  13. I fished the "Golden Half Hour" between sunset and moonrise here today...nada.
  14. Reaction shad by Clinch customs.
  15. Looking for the exact opposite, a Meyers Sportspal.
  16. Funny, just came across one of these on Craigslist, reasonably priced, wasn't sure about until I showed up here. The post does mention it being "heavy".
  17. Megabass Grenade.
  18. Gizzard shad, and like others said, put it on a circle hook, and hold on. If you're not into live bait fishing, then there are plenty of matching lures out there, because that's what the bass are feeding on.
  19. I second Big Baits theory. I was going to suggest a swimbait in bass pattern (Mattlures Tournament series), or Tilapia, try to trigger a territorial response. Although that little Xrap Yeajray posted is just too cute not to try. Other suggestion, create your own bait ball, throw a umbrella rig, something flash mob'ish. Keep us updated.
  20. This time of year I follow the shad, usually at the inlets, but have found it to be effective along deep ledges, and rip rap.
  21. I agree with much that was said above by Ajay and ww2. I usually fish middle of the day for the most part. However, I have found that mornings after the sun is up, any northern shores with rock, like rip rap, and such, that warm quicker can be productive areas. Fish seem to move up to these areas sooner in the day.
  22. Someday a Shrapnel as casting, for Spinning...I'm still thinking about it.
  23. Got to follow them, their pros, and kayak groups on FB where they post up codes. I think there is a 60% off using "rivermanfishing" code.
  24. New favorite.
  25. Manley rods are great rods, and they have awesome sales. 50%-70% off with various codes.
