  1. Those Swimbait Craws look pretty awesome.
  2. It's true, I was just saying I wouldn't trust those toothy beasts with a $400 lure. On a different note I have learned you get what you pay for when it comes to fishing equipment.
  3. What's the best place to get Japanese lures from? I've heard of JP Angler and Japan Lure Shop, but where do you guys shop at? And is it really all that different from ordering stuff from the U.S.?
  4. Does anybody know if people dive for lost swimbaits? It seems like if you live in California and you knew how to scuba dive you could make a haul. You'd probably have to repaint them, and soft plastic swimbaits would get waterlogged, but still. Georgia wouldn't be a great place to do it, but I'm just curious have you heard of anybody doing it?
  5. I know it would be difficult to lose one, but what about teeth marks?
  6. I haven't caught anything with the Badonk A Donk, but it walks like it's on a treadmill.
  7. It's funny you say that. On TW there is a review for the Roman made Mother Swimbait, which is a $439 swimbait. The guy says he throws it for muskie. Now I know you can use steel leader and everything, but come on that seems a little crazy to me.
  8. Wanna go home for dinner? I'm thinking fish tacos.
  9. It doesn't look too hard. I would go pearl base coat, black scales on the sides trying to keep it off the top (it would muddle the blue), then blue on top. I haven't tried to replicate it, but it looks like the hard part is finding the right shade of blue for the back. It looks like a sweet color pattern to replicate. If you get it right post a pic, I'd be interested in seeing it. BTW Welcome to BR.
  10. You might try packing it full of baking soda (like two boxes) and letting it sit for a while. Baking soda absorbs odors pretty good, that's why people keep open boxes of it in their fridges.
  11. It's the same way in Indiana, we used to shovel snow off the court to play during the winter.
  12. I used to play in Indiana all the time. When I moved to Ga. I couldn't believe the difference in skill and style of play. Needless to say, Indiana is a pass the ball 10 times then take an open three, Ga. is get the ball drive to the hoop (no passing needed). Still a die hard IU fan, always will be.
  13. I got a Pinnacle Matrix for $50 at Dick's last year. It's been decent, but if there is a way to get a Lew's (or something in the $100 range) go for it.
  14. Right before Christmas, and right after.
  15. It's all supply and demand. They charge outrageous prices, because people will still buy them (not me).
  16. Just be yourself. Do the stuff YOU like to do, whatever that may be. If the people don't like that at least you tried, and you can go to the next thing. Look at Charlie Moore if he was nothing he was himself. I recommend reading his book he's a goof ball, but he's an extremely successful goof-ball. Another thing would be consistency, do something everyday to make "it" happen. If you post videos or articles, release them on specified days. For instance, Tacticallbassin' always comes out with something every Wednesday. There are two kinds of people when you're trying to build something, the ones who want to tear it down, and the ones who want to build it up(it can be a business, a Youtube channel, or whatever). Listen to the people who want to build it up.
  17. I would try a barrel swivel before any thing else.
  18. I'm not going to ask how exactly you lost the hook and line tie, but kept the frog body. But, if you want to reuse the frog body. I would get replacement hooks from TW (probably Trokar) and instead of the "mysterious line tie thing that connects the line to the hook with no actual name" I would go with a large barrel swivel.
  19. Using the Lake Fork frog stinger hook can really help when bass are slapping at it rather than swallowing it whole.
  20. Any old westerns, modern T.V. is too "reality" for me. Bonanza, Wanted Dead or Alive, Rawhide, and Big Valley are up there for me. And pretty much anything with John Wayne...Pilgrim.
  21. I had a recent thread talking about doing it, well I did it. Turned out better than I thought it would. It added almost a foot in length, and makes the balance/leverage way better. And it only cost about $10, and 20min. worth of work. Here it is... and it is orange.
  22. That bass swallered that other bass. lol
