  1. I'm with you on this one $5 may not seem like alot, but think about it this way. If you make a minimum of 10 orders per year (which is very very conservative for many people). That's another $50 order you're losing out on. That's a equivalent to a Slammer, an I Slide, 2 Hudds, almost an Ayuroid, 10 packs of Senkos, half-way to a nice rod or reel, 5 River2Sea Spittin' Wa's, almost 10 Cavitron buzzbaits, 2 spools of Power Pro, 5 BOSS Alabama Rigs, a Jerry Rago Alpha Rat, or 10 Strike King Silent Red Eye Shads. (Yes, I had to check all the prices above on TW.)
  2. O.K I almost forgot. Pork is for eating, and some slow winter-time situations.
  3. Mono can work, but it's like using 70lb. braid for a finesse jerkbait. You can get by with it, but it's just not ideal. It's worth getting some Power Pro. Welcome to BR.
  4. That's only a couple (dozen) years away from "Rawhide".
  5. Being trapped in your own mind, is better than being locked out. I fish from a yak all the time and I feel your pain. Just keep trying. The only way to get better is to fish. I actually suffer from overly-aggressive lure selection. Frogs, big swimbaits, ect. I am really trying to scale the size/speed down, trying to get numbers not size. I'm at least going to mix in a shakey head or Ned in. Hopefully it works, if not I'm a gonna chunk a purple Spro Rat to celebrate.
  6. If somone is making too much noise with their boat, I throw rocks at them. Does that count?
  7. Looks good, but it would look even better red and white.
  8. I would try an outdoor poly-urethane, in a spray paint can. Ace, Lowes, and Home Depot should all carry it.
  9. I would try marine grade 2 part epoxy. If anything will work that will. The problem with glue or Goop, is it has flex in it. Epoxy, especially marine grade 2 hour cure, hardens to plastic (basically). They sell it at Home Depot, get the stuff that cures white.
  10. Scum Frog Bigfoot.
  11. I like electrician's side cutters. Not sure what they are actually called but klein makes the best.
  12. Honestly, check out your local pawn shop. Not the yuppy one on main street that only sells T.V.s and old video games. Go to a redneck dirty pawn shop. They always have bows, usually in good condition, with everything included (from some guy who spent way too much and his wife made him sell it). If you go the pawn shop route, you can take a bunch of junk for trade to bring the price down.
  13. I would go with the Lew's Mach 1 (spend the $ you saved on a better handle). But if you're looking to throw stuff a little bigger I would go for the Lew's BB2 Pro Wide Speed Spool. I actually don't own either one of these reels, but IF I were to buy a reel today, it would be very hard to turn these two down.
  14. I have only fished the original, it's really good stuff. The only time I use (really need) a leader when fishing braid, is when the fish can get an eye full of the line (dragging jigs, shakey heads, ect.) in clear water. Other than that I just use straight braid.
  15. I haven't done it, but if I could I would. If you have regular access to a lake/jet ski, do it. It looks like a ton of fun.
  16. Pork is for eating.
  17. I would throw frogs in the pads, a swimbait or chatterbait along the weedlines, and a shakey head or jig at key targets like laydowns and stumps. My rule of thumb with new bodies of water is have a topwater, a fast(er) moving sub-surface lure usually a baitfish imitator, and a slow moving sub-surface lure usually something finesse.
  18. Go with a lighter. That way if you ever find yourself in a survival situation you can always switch lures.
  19. I like River2Sea frogs.
  20. Just remember. If somone yells "Fore!" it doesn't mean they caught a four pounder.
  21. Go for a Carrot Stix, There's nothing lighter/more sensitive in the $100 something price range. Plus they are orange (or green).
  22. There's quite a few companies that make CNC molds. Just Google "cnc lure molds". But, if you're looking for more custom/hand-made molds. Check out tackleunderground.com. There is a bunch of guys that would either sell their stuff or make you a custom mold you want. The last option would be Makelure.com, and just make your own. It's a tad more expensive than Wal-Mart, but it's specifically for lure making.
  23. Dear Raider, When will the Raiders win a Super Bowl?
