I have the Iwata Neo, It's perfect for painting crankbaits. Although I had to buy another after I broke my first one, because I didn't know how to properly clean it. I think it was like $80. But if you buy it from Hobby Lobby you can use a 40% off coupon, which it puts it around $50.

Another thing I like to do is add glitter to the epoxy, but most glitter is way to big and kinda ruins all your work. So I use really fine glitter from "Crafters Choice". It's a pretty random place to get it (it's actually a cosmetics supply website), but it looks awesome. You don't need to add much at all, just a small pinch. You can barely even see the actual glitter unless it catches light just right. It does make whatever lure you seal look that much better.

30 min. is better. I have some crank baits I did last year with 5 and they are rubbery, and some with 30 and they are hard as a rock. If you switch to 30 min. once it initially cures don't touch it for a few days, it will leave finger prints on it. I don't cure mine with a heat gun, but if I start running out of time I'll heat it up, it'll give you a little more time. Not much you can do about the humidity, it's bad in Ga. too. I get my epoxy from Hobby Lobby (it's in the airbrush section), they have 40% coupons on their website all the time so it makes it pretty cheap.

Three questions: 1. Is it 30min. epoxy (if so what barand)? 2. How long are you letting it cure? 3. How humid is the area you are working in?

Dahlberg Diver is border line gimmicky, they also had a crawfish crankbait (not the Clackin' Craw) that looked kinda cheesy. I just checked their website and it looks like most of the gimmicky stuff has been discontinued. They have some pretty cool stuff you can't get with any other company. They walk the line between different/creative and "gimmicky" pretty well.

Get a job on a golf course, you wake up super early, but get done at 2 or 2:30. That gives you plenty of free time while still getting a full day of work done. Or start cutting grass in your neighborhood. You can under cut the bigger lawncare companies, because you have no overhead (just do a good job). $20-$30 per yard (depends on size/time) give them a small discount for weekly service. Plenty of big lawncare companies got their start by doing that

R2S definetly has their fair share of "gimmicky lures", but they have a handful of good lures, especially their frogs.

I actually use a medium/light Carrot Stick with 50lb. Power Pro for frogging. I've never had a problem, and I throw frogs all the time. Which helps the Carrot Stick argument, but thea's for another day. Cool vids, what if that "sewer bass'' guy hooks into a fish bigger than the grates?
