  1. Only one I've caught fish on is a Sexy Dawg Jr. The one I find easiest to walk is a Super Spook Jr.
  2. Umm, depends on where I am. In the creeks for smallies, a Zoom UV Speed Craw or Jackall Chunk Craw 3.5 on an 1/8 Chopper weedless stand up head or a Luck E Strike Perfect Finesse head. In our lakes up here without the gravel bottoms, Pit Boss on the same Luck E Strike head or a Craw bait, Rage or similar 4/0 EWG and 3/16 worm weight. I really like those Jackall Chunk Craw though.
  3. Nice fish buddy!
  4. Well, I don't have the reel yet, but in the interim, I'll use either a Royal Express or a Quantum Energy Burner for it.
  5. I think I will give it a go!
  6. I'm looking at an Ambassadeur 2500C and was wondering if I could use it for buzzbaiting on small waters.
  7. So, what you're saying is I'm stuck with one that runs to one side? Would bending the wire at all help?
  8. I bought a War Eagle 1/4 buzzbait and the dang thing pulls right, hard. How should I tune it to run straight? I've never tuned a buzzer before.
  9. I wear a large glove and my favorites are Ambassadeur 4500 sized reels. They fit me perfectly!
  10. 4 days? Maybe the upper Meramec or the Jacks Fork from the Prongs down. How about doing 2 2 day floats, way easier to plan for, but even if you're set on 4, there's 30 different floats you could do. If you figure 8 miles a day, run the Big Piney down to the Gasconade. Float most of the lower Big River or even the James River. Perhaps from upper Big Sugar down to Grand Lake on the Elk even. Have fun with it.
  11. All I've used yet is the Zoom UV Speed Craw and a Pit Boss. Both have produced!
  12. They were In Cassville.
  13. A few things, I found an SS Jr in Baby Bass today, hooks rusted off. What size hooks and split rings should I use? Second, I have a hard time walking these baits, any advice?
  14. I wanted to try these heads because I'm tired of gluing my baits on my regular heads and the barb looked cool. The barb is fine, but I had iss si es getting a good hookset, having a hook straightened with 8lb Red Label and the weedguards being overly stiff. I'm not sure if I'm the only one with these issues, but I was highly dissatisfied with them. The hooks didn't penetrate beyond the barb and literally fell out into my hand.
  15. Yes, Douglas County. I fish my Neds and other light baits on a Fish Eagle 50 6' ML with 8lb fluoro leader. I'm Looking to Head south for smallies very, very soon.
  16. Hey all, I went to Dg Co yesterday for an hour and a half, caught 30 LMB from 6" to 17" on the Ned from shore. They were all caught from three jetties on the west side, within 15 feet of shore.
  17. Isn't the hook on those too big? I have some VMC Drop Deads and I was curious. That's how I will likely rig Flukes this summer.
  18. Honestly, try them both. The fish will tell you.
  19. I use all of them from Havoc to Jackall, GYCB and Rage...they all work.
  20. Anyone have any images of rigging the Swing Impacts as well as how to use them? I have some 4" in Bluegill Flash and want to catch some. Is now a good time for them?
  21. Man, the folks here, for the most part, are catfishermen and goldfish catch big [butt] flatties. I can't stand cattin' as I feel it's boring as hell.
  22. The bait shop here in town is a BAIT shop, worms, minners amd goldfish. The lures are old as dirt and the tackle is Zebcos and catfish rods. I guess I have to run by Mondo on the way to work for some Sasuteki Craws and to see what they have.
  23. From shore I am hesitant to throw jerkbaits or anything that dives.
  24. Wednesday will be my next chance, but there's no telling where I'll find fish. I may take the casting rod and spinnerbaits then. Thanks for the replies, can't wait to read more.
