  1. Lotteries are tax on people who are bad at math. (Although, I wouldn't mind 80 million dollars) I heard in NYC they where selling one million Mega-Millions tickets every hour.
  2. Avid I hope everything works out fine with your family. You did the right thing. I'm not going on the trip, but I know as well as anybody that a BassResource.com get-to-gether without avid is like a banana split without the cherry: not half as sweet. I hope the happines you would have shared at the Fork can be shared with your family. Maybe next year can be bolth of our first times heading to the Fork (or Varner or where ever the next one will be) Let us know how things go. Matt
  3. [i am typing this on my keyboard using 2 AAA batteries] And so on.....
  4. This is a game kinda like "This or That", only it is different. Its just a messing around funny kind of game that can get quite creative. What you do is make a post using somthing besides your fingers to type, using this format: [i am typing this on my keyboard using __________] Fill in the blank with whatever random thing you used to type that message. (pen cap, drum stick, spark plug, or whatever you want to use.) I will reply to this message right away to show how its done and to get things started. (what you choose to type with doesnt have to have to do anything with the person before you, like it does in "This or That") Have fun! Matt
  5. Right now its snowing and 15 degrees here, lol I'm going to make a cup of hot coco, a stack o' dozen pancakes, some beans and cheese, baccon, a egg or two, with a donut or two, then pour maple suryp and hot melted butter over all of it and have a little snack. (and wash it all down with a glass of orange juice) That is my custom. And its a very tasty, belly warming custom on cold snowy days, it even helps relieve cabin fever for a hour or two. And by that time I'll be cooking up lunch. ;D
  6. I fish ponds and small lakes only. (becuase there is no decent sized lakes within biking distance around here) The best advice I can give you is, the harder it is to get to a pond or a spot, the better the fishing is there. The best fishing around here can only be reached by foot, and it is way off the beaten trail with brambles and over hanging brush making getting there and fishing there difficult. But it is the best spot, and few fishermen know about it, so fishing pressure is almost non-existant. Tight lines and easy lure-getting-out-of-trees-from-the-bank. Matt
  7. I think extra features like the Professers Corner and a "Whats it Worth" section are good for atracting new members and giving long time members something new to mess with, but somtimes there is such a thing as overdoing it. As far as bandwich goes, adding more stuff to the site right now might not be the best thing. I vote "maybe".
  8. Welcome! Ask away! This site has some great people with great answers.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but what the heck is wrong with muddyman's name? ;D ;D ;D
  10. I never owned a real MP3 player, but my friend had a Ipod just break for no reason last fall, and he couldn't get a new one from apple. From what I hear Ipods are more fragile than other brands.
  11. The snow is turning into puddles here! I hope the ice breaks up soon too.... 50* here today! Ol' man winter is going back to bed!
  12. Thats a top of the line thing from (and to) a top of the line guy!
  13. I see. Cheers to Glenn for keeping this place in great shape!
  14. Last night the forum was in Maintenence Mode, and I'm just wondering what was getting updated/fixed/added. As far as I can see, there isn't any changes to the forums or the home site, but I could have missed somthing. Thanks in advance Matt
  15. Bill Dance If you had to be a theif, would you be a bank robber or a store holder-uper?

  19. No offense to anyone, but the reason I fish is so I can get AWAY from math. LOL My Spring stratagy is the same as my Summer and Fall strategies: Catch more fish!
  20. Great job! You should sell that sandwich on ebay becuase KVD asked how it tasted! LOL (of course I supose it is in some septic tank right now ;D) But really, you did great. Just getting to that point was somthing that I dream of. You did a splended job. Next year your going to win all the $$$, and KVD is going to want your signature! keep it up Matt
  21. Glenn should really trademark them to Muddy, so he and only he can use them. It will be a dark day indeed when the bouncies are forever gone. :'(
  22. At my home lake there is a good 12" over the whole thing. It will take quite of few days of 40* to melt it all out. I'm not exactly sure, but I'm not expecting it to break up intill the start of march.
  23. W00t! I did a little math the other day, and my precise calculations have led me to conclued that we will reach 10,000 members around June 7th-ish. (see my signature) PS btw i made that "BassResource.com Rocks!" smiley. Feel free to use it whenever you feel like signing this site's praises! (maybe Glenn will add it to the smiley list!)
