One thing that gets me(being in the Ag industry) is that my buddy that I help farm, uses a price guarantee(insurance) to allow him to sell grain out of his bin, at current price on a given date, but the guarantee is for a certain dollar amount. Should grain go up he is given the difference between the increase and the cost of the guarantee. I then go and buy puts(on the same delivery date and grain) to protect any downswings in the price, and when the grain is delivered it always seems that the price has moved enough to cover both the cost of the guarantee, the puts, and some added profit. I know how it all works but still have problems figuring out where the losing side is. I guess it is all part of the gamble.

Great victory for a US team that is trying to breakthrough on the world scale as a force. As far as soccer being boring, football can be too, so can baseball and any other sport where you do not realize the strategy behind the game. As far as it being a sissy sport, I could show some gruesome pictures where injuries occur including some I caused and some I earned. It is fulls peed, no pads, and limbs flying.

So I went out early one morning to sell a few pieces of farm equipment. Came back with about 800K in sales, parked out in the middle of our lot as the lot was full. Worked a long day of work, to be the last to leave, and came out to a huge dent in my tailgate. As I proceed to hell who did this, I realize, no one is here. To make it worse, the big scratch of green paint on my one year old truck is not enough evidence apparently to the owner of a John Deere store that one of his employees(not me) hit my truck. >

The weather has been crap here and even though I did not get to go it seems as though the muddy water still produced some decent bags for the river. It was alot better than when the Classic was in Pennsylvania a few years ago but still seemed to be a tough bite. Shallow muddy water is not everyones cup of tea either.

I dont think you understand the stock market. Enlighten me. If you can find a way to explain how stock market works that has nothing to do with confident or speculation. I will send you a some fishing goodies. With that being said, bear in mind. There are more technical traders than fundamentalist traders. (I consider myself fundamentalist, I occasionally look at charts just to see how they trade in past, but I do not make a buy because of what the chart says) Also, bear in mind that every crash has happen (actually I'm unsure on 1987 lot of things factored into the '87 crash) due to speculations. If you do not believe me, I will go all the way back to 1400s and start with tulip-bulb crazes and end my presentation at internet craze. Stock market is all speculation and about measure of consumers confident. Now, as I said enlighten me. Tyrius-you are right. I just had that news source on my screen saying it already took place. Way it was written sounded like the replacement already took place. I don't need pay attention in this class. I got B average and I just stare at the desk. Long as I make a 75 or better on my final exam I can pass with a B. It just a math class that will enable me go to into calculus this fall. This semester going to suck. :-/ Wow, You may be the world's greatest economist but if you cannot write a report your superiors can read it is not going to do you one bit of good. That being said your college aged, speculative theories have become just that. I think it is great you have all of these free thinking economic ideas but when it comes down to it you are a young college kid who has nothing to lose and nothing to gain with your grand ideas. Yes there is alot of speculation that drives short term swings in the market but long term growth, is based on performance. I can be Ron Jeremy one night and build a reputation to the world, but the next month be George Burns and all of a sudden my value decreases(quoting my favorite college professor and good friend).

Another great picture and it gets me pumped for a week off work, no cell phone, and fishing with my little brother non stop.

My career goal is to be teaching college in 9 years, I spent the best 4 years of my life there with professors who could not teach. I always thought through being a TA and dealing with students that I could get through to students better than most teachers. There is something to be said for being knowledgable and there is something to be said for being able to live what you teach. Congrats ghoti.

I may be different than most, but the first sign of something different i tend to set the hook. Granted I can normally tell when I hit a stick on the drop, weeds, etc. But I would rather have a false hookset than miss a fish. That and if you hook the fish well, a harder hookset is better than a weak one. I jack a jaw when I get the chance, but I tend to fish for larger fish(in Iowa).

If it is one of your major classes then buckle down. In hiring an intern right now and looking at resumes, transcripts, etc. I could care less what an accounting or finance major did in South American History. But if it is one of their major classes and I see a C I look much harder. I did not care about any of those classes that would do little for me in the future and in turn I can see why someone would slack off in a non-major course and focus on what they are going to do for the next 30 years.

Get him a life jacket even shore fishing. My dad and I found that out with my nephew, look away for 2 seconds and the next thing you know a kid is sinking in the water. Not fun but great pictures.

Finding out my sister killed herself. And most recently finding out I may be adopting my nephew, because his dad has nothing better to do than get 2 DUIs in a month and having no other family members capable of taking care of the boy.

My dad supposedly started me at 2. He would go fishing Sylvan's Slough on the Mississippi river with his co-worker's(fireman) and he would strap me to his chest. When he caught a fish I would apparently reel them in. He said it was a huge pain in the rear but I thank him for sparking my interest in fishing and keeping me out of trouble. I have many pictures of when I was young with stringers full of white bass, crappies, and walleyes.

Most of my good fishing has come in the rain or right before. But that tends to be in the middle of the summer. 52 and rain this time of year doesnt sound that enticing to me as I look for warm sunny days this time of year. Something about that warming water gets the fish going. Either way you cannot catch them from the couch(although its a nice place to be when its 29 and snow/sleeting.

Not on right sight for screen name. Jimzee, divide that by 2 and you are close. And my arm is not extended, have found a good angle to make a fish look big but not twice the weight(13 lbs in Iowegia would break the record by over 2 lbs).
