  1. You and your family are in my thoughts Jimmy, hope all goes well.
  2. Iowa City is going to be in trouble soon, Coralville is already going over the emergency spillway and the Corps of Engineers has no idea where it will crest with more rain tonight. Cedar Rapids is screwed, where Darrin lives. Just got off the phone with him and his neighbor, who stayed, said the water was up to his picnic table... and rising. Des Moines is experiencing serious flooding as are a ton of smaller towns. Not to mention the tornado last night that hit a boy scout camp and killed 4. It is an absolute mess and as bad as it sounds(although trivial) I have 3 routes to take to work and all are impassable. God must be trying to tell Iowa something, like 14 dollar beans and 6 dollar corn is not right :
  3. Toyota Camry, quiet, smooth, reliable, and just a great overall vehicle. If I was to ever buy a car that would be the one unless I was looking for a luxury vehicle.
  4. lol. I got out of school tuesday...and on wed. I started work. It stinks having to go straight into work without a break, but I need the money. Look forward to that for the next 40 years of your life... and the more you make the more you spend!
  5. Conquest # 8???? ;D
  6. Carrot stick, I have and have fished with alot of rods in that price range and have yet to find one more sensitive and that light.
  7. What kind and how big of a trolling motor would fit your boat? Shoot me a PM if you want. Otherwise I hope you can get back on the water soon with your daughter, I know fishing kept me out of a lot of trouble when I was growing up.
  8. 29.90-30.10 and stable for a couple days as far as barometer. Winds out of the southwest, temps around 75 for a high, and slightly stained water with a big front hitting tomorrow. That is what my book tells me at least. :
  9. Can I say I told you so???
  10. Got them this morning and they look fantastic. Hope to get out and try them this weekend. Thanks again Bobby.
  11. The owner oversize in the 7/0 is right at 3 inches, it isnt too big but just right IMO.
  12. Lots of good advice here, carbs before, lots of protein after and take your vitamins. I have been on several different "lifting" diets where I was eating insane amounts of food per day(carbs and proteins mostly) and the biggest thing IMO is some carbs before and protein after as Glenn said. When it comes to vitamins, I tried to replace them with food similar to what Glenn said but a GNC Megaman multi vitamin is the best I have found. I still take it even though I do not have a gym local to workout. From my buddy(a personal trainer) who I worked out with, you can see the difference of how effective a vitamin is by the color of your urine, and the Megaman works. My diet when trying to gain healthy weight(6000 calories a day) was eggs, pasta, salad, boiled chicken, and steak. Throw in some bananas and oranges, a little brocolli and asparagus for some greens and I felt great as far as energy goes. The one other thing that I did, replace all pop with juice and sports drinks that replace electrolytes.
  13. Yep the 7/0 is a perfect fit for a ten inch worm, and durable as hell
  14. Oh you almost gave me a heart attack when I saw you had a reply to the post, thank God it was not what I thought you were going to say. Another cheaper option is the SK Shadalicious, a buddy of mine has had good luck so far with them.
  15. I wish wages increased with the increase of the GPI(gas price index) ;D >
  16. SM, I will be at Fort Madison too and cannot wait as it will be the first Pro event I will be attending, but hopefully not the last.
  17. Chances are(if they were all bass) he was over his limit and I would call a conservation officer and let them take care of it.
  18. I hope you make it as far as I did today, the big 25! I had alot of people thinking I wouldn't make it this long, so now the big bet it 26 :
  19. Don't get any ideas, I'm not squealing like a pig. Someone would be squealing with teeth like that.
  20. Lightweight, sensitive, and reasonably priced. Also looks dang good with a Revo SX. I have some Avids at a similar price point and would say so far the Carrot Stick is the better rod. Don't shoot me though

Big-O, Not a big deal, like I said I have had no issues with the Chunks, and after Brent chiming in(who I have a few of his baits) I see it is just a cost of doing business. Now that I think of it Mattlures says to boil his baits to get natural form too. Not trying to downgrade the baits, just the curiosity that killed the cat I guess.
  22. It is harder for me to go fishing alone, all my buddy has to say is lets go! Too many crazy things happen when fishing, and it is always good to have a witness when it happens.
