  1. While I could never live there it is a great place to visit friends and spend a weekend. Great sites to see, incredible food, and some d**n fun bars!
  2. I one day hope to be a college professor, but that would be a similar industry to what I am doing now. I always wanted to be involved in Natural Resources, the DNR, something where I was working with fish, game, conservation, and the outdoors.
  3. We wanted a 25 lb sack, buddy lost a 3.5-4 lb fish and had one break him off, either a nick in the line or bad knot that was a pig too. Oh well I cannot complain.
  4. Nope I got out last weekend and stuck one nice fish. First in my area though. Oh yeah, Karu poison tail jig and a *** Sweet Beaver was what I caught my fish on, if only it had been covered in Megastrike would I have been able to support another sponsor
  5. Well the black and blue jig and pig kicked out these 3 fish in a matter of 20 minutes. The sun got high in the sky and the fish became active. A front came through half an hour later and shut the bite off but man was it hot for a while! Fish went 5-2, 5-4, and 6-14 from top to bottom.
  6. St Croix Avid and Revo SX, and I did not pay close to retail for either of them but still my most expensive setup.
  7. 1/0 Gammy trailer hook, although I catch the majority of my fish on the main hook there are a few fish I was glad I had the trailer on
  8. ;D Jay, She looks right about your height, match made in heaven possibly???
  9. Agreed, it is fourth on my list of things I could not live without, behind women, fishing, and hunting.
  10. Yes I do not eat meat, when I am sleeping ;D
  11. To all the youngsters here; DO NOT PAY ATTENTION TO THIS TIS IS THE SINGLE WORST POST I HAVE EVER READ HERE! You are teaching kids it's ok to brak the law, thats plain irresponsible. You're right mud, I'm sorry. Hey youngsters, all those ponds you see that are full of big bass and you want to fish them?!?!? Too dang bad. Jerks like Muddy and Pond Hopper will call the police if they see you trying to fish them. Life sucks, get used to it. Better? :-? No No No, go ask. Find out who owns them, ask them if you can do anything for them, offer them fish, help on their farm, etc. Do it the right way. The majority of farmers I know will let about anyone who is respectful fish, if you ask! If you do not ask then they get mad and call the sheriff, simple as that : :-X
  12. I fish alot of private ponds that have people trespass and everytime I know someone is trespassing I just call the local sheriff as nothing ticks off a landowner more than not knowing who is on his ground. Yeah there are a few that may pull out a gun to scare the hell out of you, but 90% of the ones I know call the sheriff. Hell I forgot to tell one I was going to be in a different vehicle one time and he about threw us off For all of you fence hoppers, I hope you get what you have coming, whether it be a good hard learned lesson or a nice ride with the fuzz.
  13. 4 lb 3 oz bass caught this previous weekend. 4.1875/10.75=.3895 x 10= 38.95
  14. Do it on any strike king hooks, had a nice fish break a hook off a crankbait this weekend after catching only one fish on a new bait. Broke one of the back treble hooks off and left a bad taste in my mouth.
  15. Dude, just tell me when to come out next year and I will be on a plane!
  16. It still has absolutely nothing to do with the question at hand, way to go. : And on the 4 Revos that I own they are all fairly tight to start but after removing the sideplate a few times they loosen up a little. Although I re-lube my reels often so am removing the sideplate at least every week during season.
  17. SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH :-X Paybacks are hell too >
  18. Well I finally got out with a buddy to chase some open water bass for the first time and got what I was looking for. Friday I was in shorts, flip-flops, and a short sleeve t-shirt and getting some Iowa sun. Saturday I was in long underwear, jeans, a heavy hooded sweatshirt, thick coat, and a stocking cap or ear warmers...and still freezing! Temps Saturday dropped over 25 degrees to in the upper 30s, lower 40s. Either way Friday after a front rolled through I was pitching some cover in about 4 feet of water and felt a big thud. Set the hook and up came my first good fish of 2008, weighing in at 4 lbs 3 ozs and a healthy 19.5 inches. Either way that fish made it well worth the 7 hours I spent traveling all over the SE part of the state this weekend.
  19. Habanero hemorhoid cream..... :'(
  20. I once purchased what I am assuming was some time with some dirty girls in Singapore, or Shanghai, somewhere in the orient...and never even got to spend time with them > Credit card company called me minutes after it was ran on my credit card
  21. Buzzbait although this year I am going to try the jitterbug out for the night bite.
  22. JT, Northern MO is ice free and so is parts of SE Iowa. I am heading south on THursday then back East on Saturday to get some fishing in. I would guess by Sunday we here in southern Iowa will be completely ice free other than the big lakes.
  23. Great choice on the reel, you are going to enjoy it alot more than that pinnacle. At the end of the year ship it off to Reelmech and it will come back better than new, seriously.
  24. Along the lines of what I was thinking, things could be worse ;D
