  1. Fantastic fish for dad and daughter. Way to get your daughter out and hooked Paul. And like many of your pictures, that fish looks way bigger than 6 lbs, and does not even fill out the frame like your other pictures. Either way well done!
  2. And that little punk use to call me before he became big shnit. I guess I can say I knew him before he was a big star. :-X
  3. Here is a picture of the solid liver shorthair I am getting very soon. HE has great bloodlines, a great breeder, and will be named Ditka.
  4. Good job Mike, surprised I did not hear about this sooner from you.
  5. Well last weekend me and a buddy got out to a local hawg pond. With my swimbait rod broke I went to my normal summer favorites of a frog and a big worm. It was a very tough bite, wind switch 3 times, had rain we could see to the north, but the big girls were somewhat interested. We ended up with a 3-13, 4-14, 5-0, and 5-11. Was a nice break from work and gave me the bass palm I have been missing. Frog fish was on a stroking toad which kicks out a great wake and the worm fish was on a shake-2, which I am becoming a big fan of.
  6. Fish 1 is lucky to be 5 lbs, and fish 2 is probably a good 3.5-4 lbs. You asked. IMO no way the first hits 7 or the second hits 5.
  7. Find out if you can harvest this fish first. Follow all local rules, and harvest some fish. I fish alot of ponds and my biggest worry is under harvest rather than over harvest. The one thing that worries me about harvesting fish is that people keep the larger predator fish out of the ponds. Otherwise I have no problem with legal persons keeping juvenille fish.

How on earth do I find out what the freebies you sent me were??? I have checked the site and cannot seem to find them even though they look great. Kind of looks like a jig trailer on roids!
  9. Any plans of a 14 incher???
  10. If you're going to insult me... A. Use a photo of me. B. Don't assume that you know me. The cubbies must have lost cause somebody's a little edgy... Does your mom wax Tin's eyebrows? ;D
  11. As I tell most less experienced fisherman, bass thumb is a good sign, but bass palm means you got into some fish! Although that may not apply to little people like Russ.

Ah long time no talk my friend, hope all is well and look forward to your input again...you always know how to lighten up a situation.
  13. I think Norman has had some momentous chokes but nothing compares to the Yankees blowing a 3 game lead in the ALCS only for the BOSOX to go on and sweep the world series.
  14. Wow, what a night/morning. We had branches and lines down all over Iowa, I drove over a downed power line going to work this morning that I could not see til the last minute because of debris in the road. My mom has 100 foot tree in her yard that was uprooted, fell across the alley, destroyed thousands of dollars worth of things(including some very sentimental gifts), one kid is dead after a tree fell on the tent he was staying in and his 8 month old sibling is in intensive care. 125K people without power and they are saying it may be 2 weeks til they get it back. It is unreal after seeing pictures of some of the damage and huge trees completely uprooted. Still just amazes me :-/
  15. Nice fish, and one of the best fisheries I have ever been to needed some serious thinning out of fish. Every body of water is different but to me, it is easy to see when fish need to be harvested although the bigger fish always get released.
  16. They look like they have great action but the video makes them look awful soft.
  17. All I need now is the tribal band tattoo. ;D pffffffff, I just spit liquids all over the monitor and floor.
  18. Cheeeeeeeeeeeeeese!!!!!!!!!!
  19. Congrats FC on the new ride. Bizz, I cannot help but laugh as to which is more expensive. Too dang funny.
  20. 6-2 5-7 4-3 5-11
  21. Take how much weight you think you need(concrete, blocks, etc.) and triple that mount to ensure that it stays down. I learned this the hard way and picking up brush piles after they have floated to shore, adding weight, and replacing them is a pain in the bass.
  22. What a stringer of eyes! Judging by your screen name I would guess Lake Michigan??? Maybe Erie?
  23. If you heard a big loud boom this weekend up your way, it was Vader breaking the sound barrier all the way over here in Iowa ;D
  24. Yep not having many issues where I am at, although it has altered my route I take to work and added about 5 miles which I hate to even mention as it pales in comparison to what others are going through. Always nice to live on top of a big hill.
  25. IMO it already is, Des Moines, Cedar Rapids, Iowa City, are all experiencing major flooding. THere have not been the deaths related but the number of people displaced is insane and there are more towns to be evacuated as the water makes it down stream. If the Mississippi decides to flood or we get more heavy rains, it will get ever uglier. Either way Darrin let me know if you guys need anything.
