  1. i bought a pack of the 3.5" Bluegill colored Money Minnows last weekend. Have not thrown them yet, but hope to next weekend when i'll be hitting the pond again.
  2. You did the right thing i think. By speaking up, now everybody knows that you won't stand for crooked competitors/directors, as i'm sure many others, if not everybody, feels the same way as you.
  3. it's hard to tell for sure, but i'd guess 4.5 - 5.5. Great Fish!
  4. i have some of the 3.5" version. Great action. The crazy thing is, the Crappie love this smaller size swim bait, as well as the bass.
  5. i'll second the pond magic, but i have a couple Cavitrons on the way too.
  6. i used self tapping lag bolt type bolts to mount mine, just put a bead of silicone on the threads then screwed them through the plastic. worked great and the silicone kept the water out. my plastic boat looked a little different than yours, it had solid sides that were about 4" or 5" wide on top so there was plenty of room to mount the holder. 7. thanks, that's exactly what i bought was a few of the painted blade models. I figure, they were cheap, if i get a few bites on them, that's a bonus. At least i won't be losing my good baits cause i can't get out to them to get them unhooked. Jason
  8. Hey guys, i've been working on my bank fishing arsenal over the winter months, with cheap baits that i don't mind losing if i get hung up. Picked up a few Matzuo Spinner Baits to give a try. Anybody have any luck with these things. They look ok, just thought i'd ask around. Jason
  9. that's strange. i catch tons of fish on the red eye shad, slow or burning it through grass.
  10. always like Rapala stuff, and have great success with it. Decently priced, good selection, and nice patterns. Jason
  11. Well, got layed off this morning. I work, well, workED for Lincoln's largest home builder Hartland Homes. As we all know, the housing market is in the crapper, and there was nothing more the owner could do to keep us employed and still make money. It stinks, because i've been there for 6 1/2 years. Oh well, on to new and hopefully better things. Wish i could go wet a line to cheer me up, but with 12" of ice, it might be a problem. Jason
  12. absolutely love my skitterwalks! always have great success with them. they're noisey, and walk the dog with ease. Jason

  14. You're right on Sam. I was just standing there wiggling it a little bit, and it just felt heavier than usual. I lifted a little and felt a little headshake, so i lifted more and started reeling. It was fun for sure. Jason
  15. Well, i haven't been fishing since first of September. You see, i also confess to having a hunting addiction, and this is my first year of Bow hunting. The season started Sept. 15th, so every chance i get, i'm in the field looking for bambi's dad. Anyhow, rifle season opened yesterday, and bow season shuts down for the 10 days of rifle season, so i figured i would hit the pond and see if any fish were biting. Got this one 13" bass on a drop shot. First ever drop shot fish. Only bass of the day, but had 3 nice crappie on a smaller size X-rap. Just thought i'd drop in and see what's been going on. Jason
  16. Here is your explanation... The $50 is a pre-authorization from your bank account, basically telling the pump that you are good for $50 in gas. Once the merchant sends the info (should be same night) to the bank, it will credit back your account the $30 owed. (My wife works at the bank) Jason
  17. absolutely awe-struck!!! :o :o :o Congratulations Fish Chris, and great wishes for many more successful battles with those big'uns!!!! Jason
  18. I never keep any fish. It's not that i don't want to (i would keep legal crappie to eat) but my wife will absolutely not eat any fish, and will not allow me to cook it in the house (can't stand the smell). It's ok though, i enjoy releasing them to catch another time or for someone else to catch and enjoy. Jason
  19. no doubt it's the Strike King Red Eye Shad
  20. in open water, such as rock piles for smallies, a lot of guys use a jighead inserted inside the tube with the eye sticking out through the top of the tube. for fishing heavier cover, i like just a texas rigged tube with a pegged weight or weightless. Jason
  21. sweet, sweet fight!!!! glad it was free on spike! also, my boy Houston Alexander rocked!!!! from my home state! Jason
  22. SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
