Tackle Warehouse Labor Day Sale?
Does anyone here have any experience with the Halo Twilight black rods? I read somewhere that Halo rods have slower actions. I never saw one in person though.

First Time Kayak Ideas
I have a Jackson and it is really high quality and am very happy with it. Some people in my kayak fishing club have complained and said the plastic on their feel free kayaks felt less durable and almost flimsy. I never paddled one though. I would like to they looks cool. I may have missed it but a lot depends on the water you will be fishing. The cuda and the lure are pretty different hull designs. The cuda is pretty fast, but also versatile. The lure has a really wide deck and is stable if you plan on standing a lot. I thought that I would stand all the time before I owned a kayak, but I rarely do now that I actually have one. The speed comes in handy when I fish lakes and big rivers. I will echo what others have said, try to paddle them both before buying. Also i know in years past previous years Jacksons all go on sale at the end of the year.

Birthday Lure
The new lucky craft sammy bug looks pretty cool and is kind of similar to the jitterbug.

Need Some Opinions
I think so. I may not be the best person to judge, i haven't handled or fished a bunch of different rods. It looked nice, maybe not $130 nice. Just my opinion.

Need Some Opinions
The components didnt seem as nice as the ***. It looks really nice for $80 and I don't really expect a $130 rod to compare to a $230 rod. When I said I wasn't impressed, I meant compared to the ***. It just had a cheaper look and feel to it. It was hard to tell how light the rod was and how it balanced with all the chunky plastic security sensors. I would have probably purchased one if they had the H in stock.

Need Some Opinions
I just got to handle the gander mtn rod and I wasn't impressed. It didn't compare to my *** black. I have never owned an ***, but they had a couple of the first gen in stock. I liked the look of the omens better than the gm rod. It was hard to tell other aspects bc they all had security sensor on them.

Need Some Opinions
I read this thread, specifically the posts by dropshot40 on the second page and found his comments on the elite rods very interesting. I am not sure if it is the exact same model or not. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/110819-any-idea-who-makes/page-2

Which Walk-The-Dog Lure Is Easiest To Walk
The yo zuri zz walker is the easiest that I have personally tried. It is easier than a sammy and spook for me.

Frog And Small Swimbait Setup?
I can't find a H action rod that I like that is rated up to at least 1.5 oz and is on sale. With all the great deals that I have gotten recently it is difficult for me to pay full price.

A Lure You Were Disappointed In After Using It
Norman flat broke. I havn't got to use it a ton but it swam and had terrible action on my shallow cranking setup. It very well could have been user error though lol.

Frog And Small Swimbait Setup?
I'm leaning towards a tatula rod amd reel. Probably the 7'4" froggin rod.

Frog And Small Swimbait Setup?
Thanks! That makes a lot of sense haha. The dobyns can handle swimbaits heavier than the 1 oz. they are rated?

Treble Hook Replacement Question
Thank you for all of the advice. It looks like I will just do some research and attempt to match the hooks with what the manufacturer originally used. I didnt even think about changing the lures floating capabilities. I love the new eagle claw lazer hooks for making my own jigs, so I will be giving their treble hooks a strong look.

Daiwa Tatula's, How Do You Like Them?
I am also curious about how the tatula comapres to the lfs speed spool.

Frog And Small Swimbait Setup?
The dobyns rods interest me. Stupid question: what is the 735 model and how do you tell which rod is a 735 on a website like TW? I like to try new manufacturers out and have never used a Dobuns or Phenix rod. I also think that I am going to try a shimano reel for this setup. I have only used their spinning reels. I may try the new Citica.

Frog And Small Swimbait Setup?
does anyone have any experience with the lews hm85 extra heavy 7'3". It is rated 1 oz to 2.5 oz. most frogs that I throw weigh less than that. Would this be a problem? It is a fast action rod.

Frog And Small Swimbait Setup?
Is there a rod versatile enough that I can use for both of these techniques? I will mostly be throwing paddletail swimbaits on a single hook jighead and some smaller treble hooked swimbaits 2 ounces and less. I fish in Pa and WV area mostly so I don't know if any of the bigger swimbaits would be worth my time and money. I would like to use this rod on float trips in my kayak targeting musky as well. The musky arent huge but I think that will be a factor in choosing a rod. I would like to use 50 or greater braided line. There are so many swimbait rods, heavy rods and musky casting rods out there that I am having a hard time making a decision. It would be nice if the rod was lightweight and easy to use all day long with out wearing me out. I would like to keep the rod price around $125 or less and am also ok with it being used. I read a lot of threads recommending the okuma big bait rod, the daiwa dx swimbait rod, the mojo bass slop rod and the genesis ii rods. Unfortunately no stores near me carry any of these rods to try in person. Would I be better off buying a swimbait specific rod or a frogging rod? Musky rod? What are your thoughts?

Treble Hook Replacement Question
I recently acquired several jerkbaits. They are used and I would like to replace all of the treble hooks. Is there one hook that I can use for a variety of different lures from different manufacturers? I want something affordable and preferably black nickel. What size would i look for? They are mostly smithwick, lucky craft and owner baits. I would like to buy one pack of hooks that would work for every lure if possible. From what I have read I think round bend hooks would work the best. Thanks for any advice.

New Rod And Reel
If I had that amount for a new setup I would probably get the Fenwick Aetos and pair it with a lews team lews lite. You can find the reel for ~$185 online and the rod for ~$150. Then spend the rest on a rod sleeve and line.

Favorite 1/4 To 1/2 Oz Shallow Hardbaits
I had never heard of the h20 baits until this thread. They seem nice. Are they all decent? The topwater and swimbaits interest me at that price.

Lets Talk Gamber Ez/ Big Ez
I like the EZ on a 1/4 swim jig. I like to reel it in really slow just above the bottom. It kills for smallmouths. I never tried the big EZ.

Favorite 1/4 To 1/2 Oz Shallow Hardbaits
What are your favorite baits in this weight range. I have been really enjoying shallow cranking with my new setup and would like to experiment with some new baits. So far my favorites have been kvd 1.5 squarebills and norman minus 1.
