  1. Wow! That looks great. Sure don't look like a rookie made that to me. Great job!!! I was going to recommend godaddy. I have my site with them and have been very satisfied and the rates are fairly reasonable, IMHO, for what you get. But, you have done very well. Good luck! Eddie
  2. Congrats, flechero. Enjoy - even the loss of sleep. Keep us posted and can't wait to see the pictures.
  3. He can keep us in line, just imagine what he could do with congress!
  4. I like Patti Labelle. She is very talented and I understand what she was trying to do, but, she butchered it IMHO. Was screechy and parts of it sounded like she was making it up, and unsure, as she went along. Not as bad as Roseanne, but definitely in the bottom.

Very cool. Love that bottom one. Very nice work!
  6. Not really a band, but my most "shameful" liking: George Michal - Faith (hey so did Limp Bizkit!!) Cheesy song by crappy band: Heart and Soul by T'Pau Yes, I know, pretty bad. I think why I like this one though is that a bunch of us were in Myrtle Beach years ago when this song was popular. We walked by this place that would let you come in and film videos - they would dress you up, props, etc. then play a song while you lip sync'd and they recorded. Anyway, there was this little girl, maybe 7 or 8 doing this song and SHE WAS NAILING IT! She had it down, words, attitude playing to the camera - everything. Looking back its kinda creepy now that I think about it, but, at the time was very cool to watch.
  7. Congrats! Here's to 31 more!
  8. There are a lot of good distributors out there, and even the good ones will have issues once in a while. Its all in how they handle/resolve it that makes the difference. Yes, I will say I think Mudhole is one of the better ones. I ordered a St. Croix from them for a rush build I had and they did not have it in stock. Instead of making me wait until they received and then ship to me, Mudhole had St. Croix ship me the blank straight from the factory. This and a couple other things they have done for me have made me a loyal customer. Eddie
  9. Really like all those mentioned but Bill Dance is probably favorite "TV personality" Very entertaining and informative. Al Linder would be a very, very close second.
  10. This is about impossible. Just started writing names down and had about 25 before stopping. Narrowed down to what I remember had a regular rotation in the cassette deck in the car. In no particular order: ZZ Top Journey Van Halen Doobie Brothers Lynyrd Skynyrd .38 Special Def Leppard Blackfoot Molly Hatchet Night Ranger AC/DC Rush I know, more than 10, sorry.
  11. Made something easy? Amazing. Sorry, that does not look it easy. But. it does look great! Nice job. 8-)
  12. Probably 40-50 bass. It's been a slow year and haven't been out much, but that's OK. Started building rods last winter so most "free" time is spent building rods for others to go fishing. I know a lot of fish have been caught on the rods I have built which is (for now) just as good for me. Eddie
  13. Like others said, "walk it" with polarized glasses. I say "walk it" because if the pond does not see a lot of people they may spook easy. So, find a spot where you think fish should be then sneak in there and just hang out. I will crouch down and not move. Just scan the shore and surroundung area with my eyes - with polarized glasses. Look for swirls, baitfish, etc. Eddie
  14. I build on the spine as well. I know opinoins differ on this greatly, but for me, I just like consistency. I have done some test casts - on vs. off the spine (by 90 deg.) and honestly could not tell a difference. If nothing else (for me) it allows the "strongest" side of the blank when fighting fish (spinning or casting). Eddie
  15. That is impressive. Looks great. Should catch a lot of fish. Eddie
  16. Thanks guys. Apprecaite all the kind words and comments. Really means a lot to me. Yes, the next one is going to be black, but probably just solid black. Although, the red does sound nice. Thanks, Eddie
  17. Great game! I am a UNC guy that misses Mack and pulls for Texas. Glad the refs finally let them play. The OU punter could play at dook - excellent flop - although I truly believe he cramped up after the "contact". That's the way a rivalry game should be played! Also, the Texas cheerleaders are smokin' hot.
  18. Spent a week and a half last month cranking out surf rods for a trip to the outer banks with family and (new) friends. Decided my next rod was going to be for me. Wanted a "prototype" spinning rod with a sleek and different - simple - look that was very light. Took a Mudhole blank - blue - and added American Tackle blue Zirconia TiCh guides. Here's a pic of the guides. Like the way they turned out. I used Gudebrod "dark blue" with no CP. The thred went a little transluscent and blended with the blank. The look I wanted. View of the reel seats and grips. Used Fuji reel seat and some surplus EVA I turned down as far as I felt safe with.... Reel seat pic showing the "fore" finish. Did not want a grip. Pic looking up the blank. Used a a solid rubber cork ring for the butt and put a very sharp chamfer on the grip to give it a different look. Have only got to use once and like so far. Very sensitive and light. Going to put a smaller reel on it and lighten up a little more. Eddie
  19. Looks great. You should be proud. Enjoy. Eddie
  20. Looks great! I love that Lami CCB blank. Eddie
  21. Here's an article on the rod from TT http://www.tackletour.com/reviewdobynscxtreme.html Appears the carbon fiber is wrap and uses the Fuji ACS reel seat along with Alconite guides. Eddie
  22. Way to go!!! Very cool, Robert!!! Hey, how about a similar contest for us geezers over 21 for some of that Jonnnie Walker Black Label 12 yr old scotch, or fine tequila you have? ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Just kidding - this is going to be awesome reward/gift for one of our young angler's! Great idea - way to give back. Eddie
  23. Very, very nice. Love that look!
  24. I was using Devcon 2-ton and 5-min for glueing up cork and grips and reel seat to the blank. I now use the FlexCoat 5-min 2-part. But, seriously considering the U40 for reel seats. Use flexcoat hi & lite builds for guides and wraps depending upon the application (with Gudebrod color perserver). Use FlexCoat tip-top glue sticks for tip tops. Eddie
  25. Here ya go. Stays pretty covered up. Gets cleaned off for pictures then back to a mess. That pouring setup is truly professional / production ready. Ronnie is my hero. Awesome setup(s). Eddie
