Real prey swimbaits
Ordered my real prey 7" golden shiner in dark shiner couple days ago. Medium sink. If I get it in and decide I'd like it to sink a bit faster, where would you guys recommend inserting the nail weights?

I want to fish them in 10 to 15 ft so you answered my question perfectly! Now I finally know which sink rate to get. Thanks

What is the equivalent to a hudd rate of fall 12? I'm thinking the medium sink rate?

Real prey swimbaits
Which would you pick as a better product, the golden shiner or a hudd 68?

Real prey swimbaits
Anyone using the real prey swimbaits? Specifically the 7" golden shiner? Curious about these baits. Also what sink rates do you like for certain depths? Color patterns?

Senko Rod
I use a st croix rage casting rod. Absolutely perfect for senko fishing imo. It's a 6'8" medium/extra fast. I like it.

Bass Raider 10e Mods?
There's a 93 page long thread on the bass raider in this forum. Look for it in the bass boats section. It has all you will ever need to know. I have the 8ft and made a rudder for the back out of an old trolling motor, mounted a transducer to it and mounted the display up front. They are great for the money. I love mine. Don't be afraid to drill into the boat, as long as you do so on the upper half of it above the seam. Just use marine sealant around the screws. I haven't had any problems.

Daiwa reels
Get the tatula. Don't over think it. It's the bomb. You can find them on the auction site for right around 90$. You cannot beat it.

Muddy, warm, weeds
I would guess along any rip rap banks, drop offs and in the weeds. Possibly out deep depending on water temp and total depth of the lake.

EWG hook size for 10" Culprit worm?
This is what I use. Darn near 100% hook ups with this and an ol monster. The ewg hooks caused my hook ups to suffer. Simply because the hook point is in line with the line tie.

Optimal glide/swimbait conditions?
I agree, my wife can probably see how I could do without one though. Lol in all seriousness, if u were to pick one, Ms slammer vs spro rat or similar?
-
Optimal glide/swimbait conditions?
Ahhh don't say that...it could be another reason for me to make another tackle purchase. I did see a rat swimming out off the bank the other day though. First time ever seeing one actually in the water. I didn't think rats swam but after watching it for a bit, I see how rat baits work.

Optimal glide/swimbait conditions?
I realize there are probably more favorable baits and techniques for this time of year and temp, it's just hard not to atleast try them lol. Ya I've caught a few but the action has died down the last few times I've been out for whatever reason. I've thought about a slammer but the primary lake/pond I fish seems extremely tough to get a "topwater bite".

Optimal glide/swimbait conditions?
Thanks as always for your advice. So it sounds like im not going against the grain too much throwing them even in the summer. Water Temps are right around 80-85 mid day. Clarity 5' or so.

Optimal glide/swimbait conditions?
Just seeing what people's thoughts are as to the optimal conditions to throw a glide or hudd 68? Time of year, temp, etc. When have you had the most luck?

Good all around beginner angler setup.
I would get a tatula or lews lfs speed spool, and a h20 xpress ethos rod from academy sports. Equals up to about 140 and I think that's about the best setup you can get with that money. Trust me I've been in your boat trying to get the most for your money on a budget.
