What is/are the best umbrella rigs on the market in your opinion?
I have not used that one. If I read the description correctly, it has a heavier wire than the one I have.

What is/are the best umbrella rigs on the market in your opinion?
Hog Farmers. I use the mini flex and the BFL Flex Rig. We are only allowed 3 hooks in Indiana. I can set these up with 3 hooked baits and two dummies. What I found is, you want a rig that is light enough to flex on a stop and go retrieve but not too light where the hooks get tangled. How fast you retrieve it and what baits you use can also make a difference.

Jerkbait Rod
Casting most of the time but I do like to throw a few of the smaller ones on spinning. With that said, BFS gear has definitely made an impact for me when it comes to jerkbaits 3/16 and under. I just seem to catch more fish with it.

Shimano's DC patent is expiring very soon. Flood gates on Daiwa DC reels are about to open.
I like my Curado DC but I don't think Daiwa will go that route. They simply don't need to.

Sunline Xplasma Asegai Braided Line Reviews
I have the Tatula 300. I have had problems with it backlashing as well but I am using 22lb Sunline Defier Armilo. It will cast fine for about 10-15 casts and then I need to up the brakes about 2 or 3 clicks or it will backlash again. So if this is what you are experiencing, I don't think a different braid will help. Daiwa has been no help. Also, I am not a big fan of braid only with swimbaits. Braid to leader has worked for me in the past but I like the Defier better. In X-Braid/YGK's line, OLLTOLOS WX has been great for jigs, it's super smooth, and it comes in bigger sizes. It is white though and leader is a must. I have been using the same line all year for jigs in the worst conditions and it has not shown any signs of wear. I do use Seaguar Grand Max FX for this set up. This leader has more stretch and is pretty durable but it's also sensitive.

Sunline Xplasma Asegai Braided Line Reviews
I have had it on a spinning reel for two seasons or more with no issues. It does fade and start to absorb some water over time but I have been pleased with it. It also holds a good leader knot. @DEPS_250 What are you going to use it on? Spinning or casting? What diameter or weight are shooting for? As far as being water repellent, X-braid is my favorite. Check out Japan Lure Shop and look for lines that have the WX coating.

Why arent more reels like this(Quantum smoke s3)
I had a couple of Smoke reels and one Tour S3. I ended up selling them. They just weren't getting used. I had no issues with them. They were just taking a back seat to my other reels. I had a few issues with Quantum over the years but this series of reels was solid. A lot of stores stopped carrying them and they seemed to stop distributing them to mom and pop shops. I think this has hurt them in the long run.

IU Football
Well they won again. 10-0 and they moved into the top 5 in AP poll. It was not that impressive but they got it done. It seemed they had the opportunity to blow Michigan out but they made a few mistakes and the refs in the second half did not help. I saw a ton of no calls, including a hold on Michigan where an OL linemen got his finger stuck inside an IU player's jersey. My buddy was like, "Are these refs from the last KC game?" 😄

Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul
I see some of this coming Jake Paul's way.

Soft plastics storage
I keep them in their original packages. Too many colors and options to keep them in boxes. I do put the packs in no slot plano boxes or in big Daiwa zipper bags.

Shakey head weights
1/16, 1/8, 3/16 and 1/4. I like Owners In Weed Head. I bought several packs at a JDM site. I also like Buckeye jigs as well.

Parts to Repair a Citica 200D
Call Shimano with the part number you need. They might surprise you with what they have available, despite it being out of stock online.

G Loomis
Looking back, I might not have given these rods a fair chance. I only had them for maybe two seasons and I hardly used them. At that time I was fishing from an inflatable pontoon and was limited as to what I could take. So I would end up taking what I had the most confidence in.

G Loomis
I sold the two I had years ago. They went for about $125 each on eBay and they were pretty much new. From what I can tell, they were not very popular. I always regretted buying mine when I compared them to the IMX and GLX rods I had at that time. I don't know of anyone that has them any more.

Ribbon Tail Worms all year
My fishing buddy pretty fishes them all the time and unfortunately, the bite for it comes and goes. I can out fish him with a senko pretty much anytime. He will catch fish on it though. I just wish he would switch up when the bite stops. The best times seem to be in early spring and for a few weeks during the summer. The rest of the year seems hit and miss or just dead.

Sentimental rods/reels?
Reels - Shimano Cores. I still have a soft spot for them. They cast well, they're buttery smooth, and still work like they did when new. Also, the Chronach 51e. Just a great reel. Rods - G.Loomis 803C GLX, the original version with Recoil guides. I broke mine and still miss it. Also, the G. Loomis 783C GLX. This was my first taste of higher end gear. I have had it for 20+ years.

Best Rod for Bottom Contact and Moving Baits
Out of the rods I have, here is what I would recommend based on OP's needs..... 904C NRX+ - Works for anything that hits the bottom. Sensitive, has a softish tip, and is my favorite football jig rod. 894C NRX+ - This is my dock and bank jig rod. I can flip and cast with it. I like it for when I need a quick hook set. It has plenty of power. I tend to have this rod in my hand more and more. It's a pleasure to fish. 853C NRX+ - I use this rod for 3/8oz jigs, occasionally 1/2oz jigs and Texas rigged plastic. Not the best for vegetation and heavy cover but it gets the job done. Megabass P5 Super Destroyer - Great all around Heavy rod. Not my favorite for jigs but it is very versatile. I can throw a big crankbait on it or a 1/2oz jig and it will be great with both. Megabass P5 Daemos - Still new to me and it might not be the best for the OP's needs but it will work for a 3/8oz and 1/2oz jigs, swim jigs, and probably a spinnerbait. It's soft and not that powerful at the tip. It's similar to the X-Bites but the tip is faster and has a little less power in the butt of the rod. Sensitivity is good but not as good as any NRX rod. It will make for a good junk fishing rod. * 883C NRX+ - For Chatterbaits and Spinnerbaits, I have yet to find a better rod. It will cast a mile. It loads on a hook set perfectly. I have tried tons of rods for these techniques and this has been the only rod that has blown me away. The tip is soft for an NRX rod but the rest is power. Only downside to this rod and it's a big one for me, the hook keeper is just above the rod butt on the blank. It gets a zero. It's annoying and in the wrong place. I have gotten use to it though but man what were they thinking. This rod is pure overkill as well. Honorable mention> 803C GLX for 3/8oz jigs around docks and 844C GLX for 1/2oz jigs and soft plastic

Latest,Rods & Reels Purchase Thread (Bait Monkey Victim Support Group)
I found another deal on a Megabass P5 I couldn't pass up on. I debated on what reel I wanted to put on it. I considered a Daiwa Exist or an Airity. Then I took one look at my Shimano Twin Power and thought for money, I wasn't going to beat it so I got another one. I've been fishing it for about two weeks and the Windbuster is like a Swiss Army knife. I fished a crankbait, jerkbait, senko, free rig, a topwater popper, and a jig on it. I caught fish on all and it did well with each bait. The sensitivity is good but not NRX+ good. It can cast a mile though. It's versatility makes it a great rod for kayak fishing and bank fishing. If I am going to take only one rod, this might be the one.

Daiwa is simply smoother than Shimano now
- Its crazy to me that Shimano still hasn't redesigned the Chronarch.
The problem with the Chronarch is that has been too closely related to the Curado. I have or have owned several models of both over the years and the Chronarch seemed like a heavier duty Curado but not a big step up. When the new Bantam came out, it sort of took the steem out of Chronarch MGL. Both good reels and if you throw in the Daiwa Zillion, the Chronarch gets lost behind the other two. I would like to see it return in a 50 size, just for the fun of it.- Daiwa is simply smoother than Shimano now
Own several of both and....- Latest,Rods & Reels Purchase Thread (Bait Monkey Victim Support Group)
Megabass' rod ratings for line are kind of strange to begin with. For instance, the Madbull is rated 10-25lb. I don't see myself ever throwing 25lb line on a crankbait rod. The Daemos though, I bought it for 3/8oz jigs and swimjigs but I was hoping as Megabass stated that it was good for Senkos and spinnerbaits. So basically a junk fishing rod for 3/8oz baits. Comparing it to a G.Loomis x-fast, it feels like a sponge. It's closer the 843C MBR but even softer at the tip. Once you get to the middle of the rod, it's pretty powerful. Also, I'm not getting the quick hook sets I'm use to with this rod. You really have load up on the rod to drive a heavy wire hook home but a jig with a thinner wire hook, like the OSP Hunt, is money. I will probably go braid to leader on this setup next year.- BFS Line
I use 5lb Sunline Invisible FC on a few setups. Great line. No issues with it but you have to remember it's 5lb line. I've caught several 5lb+ fish on this line including this guy last weekend. I also use YGK braid PE #0.8 and Sunline Almight PE #1.0 to a 10lb leader for softplastic and jigs.- Latest,Rods & Reels Purchase Thread (Bait Monkey Victim Support Group)
I found a deal the Bait Monkey couldn't refuse. I've been fishing it for a few days now. I have it paired with my old 2019 Steez SV. The Daemos is probably the most accurate casting rod I have used. It's pretty sensitive and loads a 3/8oz jig amazingly well. Together with the Steez, it's a deadly combo. Only downside is that it's soft. - Its crazy to me that Shimano still hasn't redesigned the Chronarch.
