  1. Small hydra pack with water, tackle, and snacks...Two rods, One spinning for finesse, one bait caster for power fishing...
  2. Thats not even showing the Glock under the seat and the carbine in the truck son. In reality, I got the NRS pfd, and it came with that knife...Which is pretty much useless for fishing since its primarily for cutting ropes in an emergency I guess...So it has since been left at home...So now of course since it isn't with me I will end up being the first responder to a trapeze accident Im sure.
  3. I do. Ive found that I can fish far more days a week, and longer each day if Im geared for the sun.
  4. Never used their mono but the braid is awesome.
  5. My only advice would be to put it in the water, and wear a life jacket.
  6. Whopper Plopper 90...
  7. Never owned one personally, but Ive had two friends that had them. One an older one, the other was purchased new at BassPro. Both were awesome to fish out of, and both owners were more than happy with them. For some reason the internet loves to hammer them since they are cheaper, but if I was to hang up my yak paddle and got to a bass boat, a pro175 is what I would be after.
  8. I fish cedar trees a lot due to where I live. I prefer to pick it apart with a crank/spinner bait from a distance, then move in for weightless senko, or super fluke fished against the base.
  9. I own 3 different Dobyns, and a few Loomis rods. One of which is the NRX. Fact is, they are all awesome. What are you using it for?
  10. I agree! I think the reason why keitech is good, is because they have stayed around and have maintained a product that hasn't gotten worse with age, with so many great tackle companies that haven't! Many of the new lures are just junk....Hence why I buy three at once to get the one that swims as advertised. They definitely don't make em like they used to.
  11. None taken. Seems to me it isn't the fish that is care about the plastic minnow different fishermen use as much as you. So what does a person gain, by telling others that what they have found effective wrong?
  12. Yup. Pretty much...Impact fat swim baits work well for me on their own, or as trailers. Great bait!
  13. Ive got a yak attack black pac. Nothing ya haven't seen before...Except mine is beat all the hell.
  14. Having both is the trick. Normally when I go out I load the boat with 3 spinning reels ( wacky rig, shakey head, drop shot ) and 4 bait casters ( top water, cranks, texas rig and spinner bait ) The whole idea is not just to catch fish, its to have as much tackle has humanly possible. This also works for firearms.
  15. Its a plastic lure that you plan on throwing as far as you can, to purposely bounce off rocks and tree stumps and hopefully find itself in a fishes mouth. Treat it as such. Non issue.
  16. This. Ive also had luck before making a long cast, that the retrieve intersects with the roamers path using a top water lure, then dead sticking it when they get within a few feet of each other.
  17. My main lake is pretty stained, so for me, 30lb braid is what I use for all jig fishing. I prefer spider wire mossy green.
  18. I try to match the bait fish or frogs already found in the area.
  19. Today I took the yak out, horrible wind, but then as the sun set, it died and went to glass. Caught three on a Plopper 90 in Perch.. I love that lure!
  20. Yup. Mega strike here as well.
  21. I have as well. Now I do it with less turns!
  22. Top water, Cranks/spinner baits/ and Jigs... Having the ability to to ski fish back, cover more water with less work and take up slack is a great thing. Especially when I spend at least 16-20 hours a week on the water.
  23. Hello brother. Its as if I wrote those words myself. There are a few different groups, like already mentioned above but remember, until you find the right one, make your own. Fishing has saved my life and marriage without a doubt. And I thank God my wife understands that as well. Good luck in your search, tight lines. You aren't alone!
