  1. the rules for ontario are simple, yet outdated in my opinion if the fishing season is closed for that species you are not allowed to target that species even if you are performing catch and release
  2. hello fellow canadian
  3. i think i just had this moment. would lily pads, meeting with pencil reed constitute this
  4. i am a big big believer in paddle tails i will throw the rage menace as well but mainly paddles tails and for specific conditions. i am probably overthinking everything but it has seemed to work for me so far. i throw the following for swimjigs as well as bladed jigs Keitech 3.8" swing impact fat (colder water or slower presintation) GY swim senkos (main summer bait) GY heart tail (big profile) Gambler ez (for in weeds) i throw lake fork shads as well but not as much i tend to stick more so to the paddle tails. i have been dying to try the zako though just need to find some locally or wait and make a tw order
  5. for me when im at my home lake on the boat an 8 hour day is not uncommon
  6. they vary based on size but the 10/0 were 12.99
  7. restocked on my bobber stops for a while plus i got a gavocho frog and some owner beasts for my magslowl
  8. the one by me doesnt i had no idea you worked at bps i'll have to come visit and chat you up sometime
  9. sounds cool i definitely will but im also going to look at some local guys try to support the canadian guys too
  10. looks awesome i hope to get one if i catch something over 6.5 lbs this year
  11. i know you asked specifically about ledges but if you want to change it up i would definitely be fishing near the casino, google earth is showing a lot of brushpiles there and there look to be some good structure changes as well.
  12. boom for me would be the spro popping frog as well as the ned rig and the red eye shad bust is the whopper plopper i have thrown it multiple times in multiple areas and just haven't had a single strike. i would much rather throw a buzzbait than the plopper
  13. no secret the fish just dont want to eat it
  14. i always have one tied on normally slow rolled around the edge of pad beds as well as shallow weed lines. if i am fishing trees i tie on a strike king rage blade instead of traditional bladed jig
  15. i use them for chatterbait trailers but that's about it
  16. welcome from a fellow Canadian
  17. the contract likely doesn't specify anything. Thought it is fair to say that these producers are likely bringing traffic to the site which does in turn increase the volume of traffic to the site which can raise youtube's profit by getting more companies to buy ads. but i suppose there is no way to say this is exactly what this person came to watch unless the go directly to the channel or link. now i do feel it is unfair in the sense that youtube pays people with larger channels like jake paul who just acts like a complete idiot, yet is making millions off of his channel for pulling stunts like burning a couch in his pool. yet the people who are just fishing now make nothing. i understand how it can be seen as unfair in that sense but you are right in the fact that they don't have to pay a fee to upload videos or directly contribute to youtubes overhead
  18. pad crashers are good until you catch a few fish on them, after that they tend to fill up when moved too quickly, spro does the same thing, the only frog i've found that doesn't is the river 2 sea bully wa 2 b ut it's not exactly value priced
  19. summer sexy shad and natural bream for me
  20. im on the heavy side i prefer the 1/5th oz
  21. if you only have 2 hours then i would honestly just take a frog and a spinnerbait or something you want to build confidence in
  22. i would start with a frog and a spook tied on, then as the day goes on and the sun gets higher i would flip the pads with a t-rig craw and throw a ribbon tail worm or a jig out deeper. try to let the fish tell you but i would definitely start with a frog and spook around that time, a buzzbait would be better if the water is a little choppy or your wp 130 because you can pause it. if it's windy then throw a spinnerbait around the edge of the pads, and to deeper water. what is the bottom of the pond like?
  23. is it that big of a deal or do they still eat it?
  24. so you're saying that there is grass growing up from the bottom as well to about 6 feet? what have you tried fishing deeper so far?
