can you show us what the transducer is mounted too it looks like its taped to some pool noodles

you can i would look for transition points from soft to hard bottom or use a lipless but i would also suggest a bladed jig it can be fished around grass it's fairly weedless, most of the lakes i fish are similar and from what i've found they prefer to feed higher in the water column not so much in the silt and dead leaves on the bottom.

i would say the braid you have one the 6'6" is fine what size braid id on the spinning rod?

okay i would fish the following on each of these rods as for the new setup i would be spooling 50lb braid with a flurocarbon leader for crankbaits or jigs. now it's not ideal to fish crankbaits on a 7:1 ratio reel but it's possible you just have to slow yourself down. what crnakbaits are you fishing? how deep are they rated for?

i have far too much but it all fits between seats in my jon boat if i am bank fishing then i only take one box maybe 2 at most

okay im looking to add some electronics to my jon boat i have an old shakespear trolling motor and i want to add a helix 5 di my question is what kind of battery should i be looking at to run all of this if i only want to have one on board? or should i be getting 2 and running the helix off the smaller one?

Picked up a new rod today for myself as well as my girl it's a Daiwa RG 701MXS it's apparently a walleye rod but i talked to one of the guys at a local shop and he was telling me how impressed he was with it for finesse applications so i grabbed it came in at $80CAD which is roughly $60USD i'll review it once it gets fished when the season opens. it was actually a great deal i returned a drag star i bought from them and got this instead.

i try not to change mine often normally i will change it once it gets brittle and starts breaking on hooksets that it shouldn't be
