NED head hook failing?
i agree with @NYWayfarer i have pulled up branches and haven't broken one off the only time i did was when i accidentally left a trd on the hook for a couple weeks and it snapped when stuck on a branch

Trying to identify this fish...
yep definitely looks like a bluegill

If you had to go no fluoro or braid...
If i had braid for my frogging and flipping i would be fine with yo-zuri hybrid and big game on the rest of my reels

Standout Lures/Plastics in every category
berkley chigger has been the standout craw, the hula sticks was the standout finesse bait both on a ned and a drop shot. standout hardbait has been the dt10 in bluegill for sure with the red eye shad in yellow perch a close second

Which cast farther: Booyah Pad Crasher or Spro 65 Frog?
that's what im saying the rod and reel are the same so that isn't the issue the only difference would be the weight and the design of the bait i have found that because the spro's are made of a harder material they are more likely to keep their shape during flight and be less effected by wind

Which cast farther: Booyah Pad Crasher or Spro 65 Frog?
why shouldn't it the bait weighs less than the spro

Video Editing/Review Thread?
personally im not so concerned with talking about what gear im using in a video. I learn more from watching what they are doing not talking about how great a certain lure is. To me when you start talking about gear it becomes more of a promotion than a video of your latest catch personally i really like the way @A-Jay does his videos

Would a DD crankbait rod serve well as a swimbait rod?
the fury series has different handles the sb models which are the 795sb and the 806sb both have full eva grips. every other rod in the fury lineup has a split cork and eva handle

not to hijack the thread but do you mind sharing any you have seen or was it just an in person thing?

jon boat
I fish out of a mirrocraft f3614 which is a deep v aluminum boat, the length is 14' and beam is 63". I stand on the seats currently and can balance well enough even in rough water with all the wake and pleasure boats. I am planning on putting a casting deck on either this winter or early in the spring. don't be afraid of using a little boat they can definitely handle it but they may require a little more work. I would do as others said and get the widest bottom you can that's the most important thing for stability

Big swimbaits in MN
I dont really think there is any real way to lower the chances. anything a bass would eat a pike or musky would easily eat too but i have found pike tend to strike a bait rather than inhale it like bass do

The real cost of restoration
you need to resize the pics just use tiny pic and select the message board size. Personally I would take a look at tinboats.net too you may be able to find a build of the same model as your boat there
