Gary (Ghoti) made these beautiful rods for Keri and I!  We absolutely love them.  Great action, superb sensitivity, and quality craftmanship.  The designs, handles, and threadwork are exactly what we wanted (note the Batson components). Awesome cork handled!

Well done!

I have a couple, but more importantly Gary has built several for our Warrior Project.

Very nice work!  I like split grip handles but that cork looks killer on the full length handle.

Hate to let the secret out of the bag but not only his he a great builder but a hell of a nice guy.  Great to work through a project rod with and goes the distance to make sure your getting what you want.  Just dont bomb him with orders because the rest of us still have a few projects in mind.

Thank you gents. It has been a pleasure for me working with the folks who have trusted me to do something like this for them.

And, it's been an honor to build rods, paid for by our awesome Bass Resource members, for some of our members who have put their butts on the line, serving our nation. A huge thank you to all of you who have served, or are currently serving. And another huge thank you to all of you who have given us some of your hard earned cash to make this project a reality. I am currently doing the finish work on the next Warrior rod, and we still have enough money in the kitty to do another one.

If you have not donated, please consider it. Even a small donation is much appreciated. If a hundred of you sent Kent twenty bucks I could easily build five or six more rods for these worthy folks. Think about, if you would please.

May I ask what reel seat that is? I am building myself a rod and want the evolve seat 13 uses and that looks real close to it.

Alps textouch I believe. It's the same one I have on the rod Gary built for me. I love it I'm using it on the swim bait rod I'm building soon as get bit gets the blank in it's on back order.

Yep, an Alps Textouch reel seat. I like. And you can get the locking hood in different colors, if you are into that.

The split grip rod is a Bushido blank. 6'9" HXF spinnerbait blank. The full grip one is an MHX Eite Pro 7'2" MHXF, trimmed down to 7'

Paul, thanks for the kind words. Those are peal and stick decals from Golden Touch Decals. I also get decals from Decal Connection.

That was not out of kindness, sir. :notworthy:

Thanks. My penmanship is atrocious. Tried it once upon a time... i think I still have a cramp in my right hand.

Gary made me a beautiful little rod that I use for panfish, trout, and UL lures for bass. Not only does it look nice, but it's handled some great fish too.

Paul, i bought the pen, nibs, and several colors of ink. I still have it all, and cant use use it. Yours looks amazing compared to my attempts. I practiced on every pieace of scrap blank I have and cant produce an acceptable result. I gave up on it for now.

I'm the same as you guys. I tried the pen and just couldn't do it. I am a computer guy and like working in Illustrator so I just design what I want and let Decal Connection handle the rest.
