  1. ISG. Good plastic/consistent tails.
  2. Here's my damage from the outdoor pro shop gloomis sale. 2 southern 783's (mbr844glx's), nrx 843, 893, and 894. 783s glx
  3. I'm probably the only person on the planet that still uses rod wrap, but it caters to my ocd. I will go to great lengths to keep my cork chalky new, and changes the condition from 'used' to 'lightly used' if I decide to sell it.
  4. I've used it...it's as advertised. It was $50 though, and it was a few years ago
  5. 12lb crystal clear cxx. I will go to 15lb in trees, but I prefer them on 12 for depth.
  6. It was nice when berkley used to include these with their spools of trilene
  7. I have 4 of the 6'9"ml cranking rods. I picked up two when tw put them on sale, and liked them enough to pick up two more a month later. Hard to find a ml/mod rod that isn't a buggy whip. This is a crisp rod that will fling little baits a long way but also has quite a bit of power. I think it's a special rod in that flavor, but it's the only model I've held/fished.
  8. Very nice, but my OCD would never allow that kind of variety.
  9. My 844's came in. You can tell these were drop shipped...it doesn't look like a human hand had ever touched them. Those handlers must wear latex gloves. I now have one rod with a palm print
  10. Pretty simple. It doesn't matter if we're talking about a rod or a stick...both are going to have a neutral balance point, and logic tells you that's where to put the fulcrum (your hand/reel seat in this case).
  11. I'd put the tat on your Flippin' stick. The tatula weighs 1.6 ounces more than the ci4+, and that extra weight will help balance out that 954.
  12. MB ARMS Super Legera. I plan on picking up the steez ags 7'6"H when the funds allow , and it seems like a bargain compared to the Leggera.
  13. What are you going to use this rod for? I owned the regular cbr 783 for a while and thought it was too whippy. Loved my 845 though. The glx will be more crisp though I imagine.
  14. https://www.*.com/G-Loomis-Rods-MBR844C-GLX-p/gloomis-rod-mbr844c-glx.htm
  15. You mght try checking the reviews for it on bps's or cabelas site. My only suggestion...
  16. I just picked up 2 844 glx's from monster. They are on clearance for 292.50 and then you can enter your email to get a ciupon code that knocks off another $25 bringing it to $267.50tyd. #stolen!
  17. You need the 844...you'll end up using it for nearly every contact bait. I nearly always have a beaver with a 1/8- 3/16oz weight tied to the end of one of my 844's. I use my 843's for spinnerbaits, chatterbait and buzz baits. Monster fishing has the 844 right now for $267.50 out the door . Just enter your email to get the extra $25 off. Kinda a thread hijack but you asked.
  18. How are you getting the 783 for 307.50? It has them for like $380 now on the website. And is there a code you can throw up to get the extra $25 off or do I need to register?
  19. The imx is a much better blank, and add in the fact you get Alconites with it vurses aluminum oxide with the gl3.
  20. How does that zillion feel in hand? I'm in the market for a 7'6"-7'11" 1/4-3/4oz crankbait rod and that's one I've considered.
  21. I think the adrena /ultima have the nicest butts of any rod on the market. Cat-call nice...
  22. I have the regular guided version...bright blue/cork rod.
  23. The ethos would be my choice. I've had the 7' mh for about 5 years now. It's 30 ton blank is sensitive and boasts better components than the other two (Fuji acs seat/alconite guides). A steal at $70.
  24. http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v280/hypercloud9/lews2.jpg&imgrefurl=http://texasfishingforum.com/forums/ubbthreads.php/topics/4485105/Re_Lew_s_Reels&h=682&w=1023&tbnid=jem9HQJLyv75QM:&docid=vumDKz3VbLttrM&ei=8ErCVfHQOciaNtnHu6AD&tbm=isch&ved=0CB4QMygAMABqFQoTCPGIjOC-kscCFUiNDQod2eMONA I guess it was black. That's the reel I'm thinking of.
