Yes I did that to my citica E and also changed the spool bearings with orange seals and new drag washers. It's now better than a curado in my opinion.

I also have had both. They are both nice rods but I like my fury a lot better.

The savvy isn't anymore sensitive the fury . But its a little bit lighter than the fury in my opinion . For the money I'd go with the fury

I bought a field & stream tec spec black from Dicks for $49 . I am very impressed with it for a cheaper rod.

I love them . In my opinion it's the best curado yet. I love the E's but the I is a much smoother reel.

There is another screw once you take the side plate off. It's a long screw that runs right beside the worm gear.

Between those two I would go with the LFS. But like DVT said I would get a new citica I . If you shop around you can find them for around $100. And it's a better reel in my opinion.

Curado I

They do not make the E anymore but they do make a 5.5:1 in the new Curado I . In my opinion it's the best curado they have made so far.

I use a dobyns savvy 703 . Great rod for spinnerbaits

The G series I don't really care for a whole lot even though I've never had any trouble with them. I guess just the look of it I don't really like. As far as the I series I think it is the best curado yet.

The 703 is a great all around rod in my opinion . I use it for spinnerbaits, chatterbaits, and t rigs. Their MH is more like a M I think.

curado 200HG . You can find them in near new condition for around that.

I use a Dobyns fury 704. I like the koppers live target frogs.

I use a Dobyns 703 , a curado 6.3:1 reel with 12lb suffix mono. Same with spinnerbaits

They are both very good rods for $100. The Dobyns fury is also very good.

Savvy 703 is a great all around Rod in my opinion.

I have both and I think the fury is just a little heavier. If you got the extra money I would go with the savvy. But the fury is a nice Rod too.

I had one also and ended up selling it . It wasn't balanced at all
