Eastern Ma & New England Area Fishing Reports
I've got that same feeling. I have some friends who just bought a nice 30 footer this year. They tell me they caught 37 stripers the last time they went out on the water. I go out with them twice trolling and we don't get a single bite! So hopefully I can get out there with them again and finally hook into one.

Eastern Ma & New England Area Fishing Reports
That'd be a great idea. I bet the fishing there is awesome from a boat. The shoreline spot I fish is pretty good, as well, with the dock and a nice dropoff 20 or so feet out. By the way, check out a forum called MA Fishfinder if you get the chance. It's a forum that I'm pretty active on and it's all guys from Massachusetts, mostly eastern. It's a friggin awesome forum. My username is "baystateangler" if you look into it.

New Rod And Reel
making sure a rod feels lightweight and well-balanced is extremely important. I learned this when I upgraded from an Ugly Stik to a St. Croix.

Why's This In Here?
I know that feeling, especially because the majority of my fishing is from shore. By the way I know a guy who could use those crankbaits lol

Eastern Ma & New England Area Fishing Reports
I agree with that, Rob. I've heard of people who have caught 8 pounders there. If you fish near the dock at Noanet there's a good amount of fish to be had. I've never fished Powisset but it was closed to camp the time I tried. I would go a lot more often if I lived closer to it.

Not Your Mothers Broom Stick

New Rod And Reel
Maybe look into a St. Croix LTB (Legend Tournament Bass) rod and then a Revo series Abu Garcia or a nice Lew's speed spool. No matter what you choose, I would recommend you go to your local fishing gear supplier and actually play around with the rods and reels and get a feel for the quality of them to see how much they suit YOU, no matter what other people have said.

Favorite Rubber Worms?
is your issue that the action doesn't look so good or you're getting caught up? and do you fish a worm weightless or with a worm weight?
