Using A Wrench For Bass?
Guess you could use ratcheting wrenches instead of rattles in stained water.

E6X Reviews
My feelings exactly. I don't need another rod but I sure want one. I picked up an e6x about a month ago but heading to the register I passed by the phenix rack and ended up with another phenix. If they would have had the zodias it would have made the trip home also I'm sure.

Rod Action ?
I do a lot of crankbait fishing so I prefer a tech specific rod. I do not constantly adjust my drag so I like a forgiving rod. I just play the fish out. That being said I have whippy cranking rods that do get overpowered so not all are created equally. I would not want to use my cranking rods for spinnerbaits and the other baits you mentioned, they are just to underpowered for them. To clarify not all my crankbait rods are whippy it depends on the bait I'm using, this dictates which rod.

Flipping/pitching/punching Rod (Under $150)
I have 4 micro magics,3ghosts and one terex and no problems with any of them. I like them use 3 of them alot the other haven't gotten as much playing time this yr not their fault I also have a few phenix rods that seem to always be in the boat. They are great rods also. I limited my rod budget to roughly $200 and my reel Budget to the same a few years ago. Sold my last Loomis rod and I'm not sure if I will ever spend over this again although I am tempted from time to time.

E6X Reviews
Been contemplating an e6x or a zodias but side by side the e6x feels like a lot heavier rod. The zodias feels good but still a toss up. Will get one or the other soon

Grew To Hate Monofilament, But Need To Spool Up A Dedicated Cranking Reel.
I mainly fish p-line cxx for my cranking with a little flouro added in sometimes. Only use braid for frogging. The yozuri hybrids pretty good as well but I'm a p- line fan and seagar for my flouro needs

Flipping/pitching/punching Rod (Under $150)
Love the tatula rods I've got 2 and wouldn't hesitate to buy another but my 7'6" ducket works pretty good for my pitching setup. Micro magic with straight flouro

Pistol Grip Casting Rods
Haven't seen a pistol grip rod at academy in my area in a couple years. I bought that allstar pistol grip pitching rod for a few local lakes with low hanging branches. It works ok but you don't have much leverage with that short handle. Definetly a wrist breaker

Rod Experts Every Rod Is Different
BB I get exactly what your talking about even if your terminology is a little off. Keep asking the questions you need answered and ignore the snide remarks that's what this site is about right?

New Fuego
Not all bearings are the same as I'm sure you guys know. You can have twelve cheaper bearings in one reel that 4 good bearings in another outdo.

Why So Many Longer Fishing Rods? Why Med/hvy Action. 1Pc Or 2Pc Rod?
Most of my rods run 7" plus with a 7"4` being the length I use the most lately. They are usually mh fast and are very versatile. If I'm parallel ing the shoreline with a spinnerbait it's a6`6" rod that gets the call because my casting distance to the target is shorter. Crankbait rod length depends on the cover I'm fishing with a 7` rod doing the majority of the work. I just don't have a need for 6 foot or less rods so l am not that familiar with what's offered in those lengths. If I am bank fishing I can pitch just about anything with a 7 foot rod and avoid overhand casting so thus avoiding most overhanging tree limbs, but this is on smaller ponds where distance is not an issue.

Best All Around Gear Ratio
6.4:1 is my multipurpose ratio of choice, but I would rather crank and spinnerbait with something in the 5 range.

Daiwa Lexa 100
Buddy of mine got one about a month ago from TW. He says it's an adequate basic reel, nothing that impressed him.

Reel Selection
I don't think you can go wrong with either one. I have both and they both fish fine. The lews is more compact (palmable)but the tat isn't uncomfortable.

Any Falcon Bucoo Fans Out There?
Well I guess they tricked me to. Oh well I have the cranknspin also, used it for light cranks before I set up a bfs combo.

Any Falcon Bucoo Fans Out There?
Probably the 7' med moderate but they do have a med lt 7' fast

If You Could Buy It All Over Again
Guilty of being a tackle junky so I have30 plus combos and use 5 on a regular basis. It's hard to let some of your stuff go but I'm trying lately. If I was to do it over I would research more and probably pick one rod company and one reel company and try it that way, but there are limitations to this as well

Diawa Sv 105 Opinions
Good to here hooligan. I bought that spool from you and that reel does great with it. I've just been drawn to diawas lately so thought I'd try the SV. Still thinking on it.

- Best All Around Casting Rod For $100 Or Less?
Ducket ghost, st croix mojo, some TFO rods,Abu veritas to name a few. If I had to pick it would probably go to the ghost, with the mojo a close second. I've owned them all and they all have their place and fans. I am not an Abu rod fan (had to many break) but the veritas has a big following around here- Diawa Sv 105 Opinions
Thanks for the replies. I havy 2 px68L and 2 50e one with a yumeya spool and a 50 core but I've gotten addicted to finese bfs stuff and can't get this reel out of my head but I think I'll look around a little more before committing to another one. Thanks again- Diawa Sv 105 Opinions
I've been eyeballing this reel for about a month and figured I'd ask for opinions on it from people who own it or have fished it, before I pull the trigger. So how does it compare to a pixy or 50e and how light a lure are you comfortable using it for? Thanks for any info that you can give.- Duckett Ghost
I feel like the tip is stiffer on my terex than my micro, but my micro I'm comparing it to is 7`6" the terex is shorter. I don't remember the exact length mind has blanked but it's 7` something. It's probably in my head but the last time I used it I was wishing for a little more of a forgiving tip like what's on my 7`6" micro I use for pitching. The terex would probably make a decent jig/ worm rod also but I bought it for frogs. It's alot stiffer to me than what I would classify as a fast tip. Hope this is clearer to you reading it than to me trying to explain what I'm trying to say- Shimano Clarus Spinning Question
I wouldn't rule out the mojo series (st Croix) in this price range. Just something to think about. I have both clarus and mojo. I like the mojo for bank beating ( casts lighter baits better to me) but I use the clarus when I'm in the boat, for wacky rigs ( it has a little more back bone)- Sticky Thumb Release
I had the same issue with a shimano calais ,worked on it and cleaned it but couldn't find the problem. Ended up being 2shims on the side of the thumb bar that had to be replaced. I had it done cost $35. Not sure if your reel has the shims ( it's what the repair shop called them) but may be something to check out. - Best All Around Casting Rod For $100 Or Less?
