  1. Exactly how I use it to set the bait just above the weeds or structure, it works GREAT!
  2. I hit lilly lake for a few hours last weekend and ended up with some nice bass it was overcast out and temps were only in the 50's Overall it was a good morning out.
  3. I see no where did anyone state reels, he stated crank baits. I don't think the dishwasher is going to harm a crank but if you have to clean it that way go for it.
  4. Kick N Bass for me
  5. the word has been out on yamamotos own forum for 2 years not to much new about it the fat IKA works, also try rigging it backwards
  6. You need to remember these were designed for fishing through WEED BEDS. Yes they work in other areas as well. So fishing them and getting snagged comes with the territory since they do not have a weed guard.
  7. see this topic http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1161739627 Fishie3, Please never do this kind of stuff again.
  8. My public apologies to all I want to post a public apology to ALL here and mainly the admin Seems in the heat to get members and the monthly giveaway I was running a FEW of my forum members over at my site took it upon themselves to pm SPAM forum members on a few fishing sites to try to better their chances of winning my Halloween giveaway I DID NOT CONDONE NOR DID I PUT ANYONE UP TO THIS ACTION I FROWN UPON THIS.. I AGAIN apologize for this action by a few of my forum members and I will handle this issue on my end. My public apologies to all Dave White
  9. If I have to sit home more then 3 nights during the season I am the same way The Fix is needed people @ work just think im a loon as well I guess unless they are bass fisherpersons they can not understand in the hard water times here in the northeast I turn to online gaming in the winter to curb some of the cabin fever..
  10. No trick each bass is different some will flop flip and dance for you while others will just keep a stady pull on the line and stay down while yet others will swim right at you
  11. Dwhite, that's a nice looking bait. It has a similar body taper to one of my faves the Case Plastics Jacks Worm which is definately produces on a drop shot rig. I'll have to order a few of those assaults and check them out. I have been using that bait for a while also as a senko substitute when they are just sick of looking at a senko and the bite is slow I'll rig that up on a 1/0 or 2/0 weightless and let it slowly fall ,They inhale it with a vengeance It is also deadly on inlets right after a rain this way or skipped up under a dock or in the pads. They love them in the river as well floating down the current T rigged and are very weed less Just as versatile as the famous stick baits but with a little bit of a different look and action and wiggle to it
  12. I gave up BASSMASTER 2 years ago everything in it is down south tips and tricks and ads almost none of that crap applies up north:) Then they send you a book and a stupid coin that you did not ask for and expect you to pay for it what a joke. These forums are a way better resource for way less money
  13. Yes I have only been been using the drop shot or tubes the past week the fish have been hitting each pretty well I have been using the assault salt shaker worm for my drop shot and it has worked very well so does the zoom ultra vibe speed worm wacky rigged???? got me but it does
  14. Make it smooth for both upon the draw meet the person let the boater go over the BOATERS rules. the rider respects those rules and that is final. Also as stated in most clubs the rider has say for 1/2 the tourney where to fish either work that out before launch or tell the rider what part of the tourney they have the timeframe to call out locations. these little tips before any tourney will save aggravation on the water by both parties. I have fished as a rider for about 5 years, and I do the above every tourney. Remember that boat may not be the queen mary but it is someones boat and the rider has to respect that at all times. **(also go over about netting fish, how you are going to let the rider know you are moving so they can gear down and put the life vest on if scent is allowed max poles you will allow, which livewell is who's etc etc etc..)
  15. Welcome and after reading those articles please do not be afraid to ask any questions There are great people here whit much trusted tips and tricks I as a Kid also only recall a few times we would hit a private pond with my Dad and used live bait and not much else.. When I was about 11 or 12 I was watching tv one early sat am and Bill Dance was landing big bass on the show and that is all it took for me. We would walk to the local pond after school and use our rapalas and the famous rebel frog crankbaits and have a great time. Even today @ 39 there is just something magic about being out on the water that got me addicted. I take my 2 sons as many times as I can (the daughters could care less) and try to teach them everything I know and every trip I still learn something new I think the best for me is when the kids land the big bass As my son David Last year on the magic jig * this bass was landed at fairview lake in NEPA and released alive.... He was only able to hold this bass up for about 45 seconds when he was like DAD this is getting heavy
  16. That is Just Great LOL LOL

  23. I think maybe you were not fishing for bass with salmon eggs and I would not say he was a lousy angler maybe he just liked trout and other fish better? WE were taken out and my dad took us for everything: bass, trout, catfish. but he used mostly live bait and worms.. I got Hooked on Fishing. and as a teenager when all the other kids were trying out pot and booze I was either racing dirt bikes or learning what I could about bass fishing The old straight tail original creme worms were the standard go to bait as well as rapala jerk baits. I remember my first baitcaster , that was handed down to me had black braided line that was more like clothes line on it... and a green fiberglass rod (what a set up that was) But I landed fish and was happy We used to rent row boats at the local state park and try our best for those big bass...
