Flukemaster no longer number 1 on YouTube
Jon B is good too, his editing has gotten really good over the past year or so. I think 1rod1reel appeals to more of the younger youtube savvy generation, nothing against him though. Flair just annoys me, not sure why.

A Sharp Hook is a Happy Hook
Exactly what I use. Smaller than an ink pen when you fold it up and store it!

$100 or Less Casting Rod?
I didn't have very good luck with the ghost and braid. Reds gear has an okuma tcs for $104 and they have a $10 coupon.

Florocorbon line and spinning reel issues
Not boiling or anything, I just use hot tap water. Last time I did it I just ran the water over the line for about 3-4min. No need to submerge the whole real. should've explained that a little better.

How many fishing poles should I own?
You might have come to the wrong place to ask that question haha In a post by road warrior he suggests three that can get you by but six or so can cover almost any application.

Florocorbon line and spinning reel issues
I don't dunk the whole reel in water.

Florocorbon line and spinning reel issues
In addition to spooling the line on the correct way try soaking it in hot water after you put the line on. Did the trick for me.

Wacky Rig Senko
The Gamakatsu weedless finesse wide gap has saved me a lot of grief from snags and lost senkos/hooks.

Multi Purpose Rods for Co-angler
I have the okuma tcs (tournament concept series) and they serve me will. Most of the rods are for multiple applications. I have the flipping/jig, crank/jerkbait, and the APC (all purpose concept I think). It's what they were designed for.

Choices, choices, choices!
I wouldn't recommend the ghost. Braided line would tear those guides up. I'm partial to the okuma tcs rods, there's a topic on it right now if you haven't seen it.

okuma tcs rod
I have the 6'9 and I use it for spinnerbaits/chatterbaits and squarebills. It has quite the parabolic bend so make sure you're ok with that.

Wacky Rig saves the day!
If I can't get a bite a wacky rig or lipless crank is my go to. They've helped me many a day not get skunked haha

Ardent Information , are they good
I think we're talking about the newer ones here. They don't look bad cosemeticly. Now that Denny brauer on the other hand looks hideous.

Ardent Information , are they good
If you get them %50 off no harm in trying one and seeing how you like it. You may have a better experience than others. That being said I have the Apex Grand paired w/ a 7'3 Micro Magic Pro. It does cast far but Ardent's quality control isn't the best and I'm not a huge fan of the internal breaking system. On the plus side there's a 3 yr warranty.

Which Sebert Jigs
They're both good all around jigs but if you plan to skip them get the arky. Also, the mata series has rubber which makes them look a little more natural underwater. They also have the deep throat hooks which are razor sharp. Just got some in the mail yesterday

okuma tcs rod
Yes sir, my favorite combos. I have three combos now. 7' crankbait/jerkbait, 7'6 jig/flipping, and the 6'9 Martin APC. They're awesome. Light and sensitive just keep in mind many of the rods in the line up have moderate actions . Glenn and a few members of bass resource have done reviews on the and they've been impressed. Also, if you look hard enough you can find them for under $100. I got my jerkbait rod for $93 at redsgear. Hope that helps!

Latest Tackle Purchase Thread (Bait Monkey Victim Support Group)
Got my first order of siebert jigs. Man, these things are like little works of art. The hooks are no joke either. Really looking to practice this technique and now I have some awesome jigs!

Okuma helios rod deal!
I got the 7' model at jet.com and they have a %15 off coupon for your first order. Mine was %20 at the time.

whats the best baitcaster under $100?
I got the Tatula for $89.99, an $150 dollar reel that's really well built. I don't see anything wrong with the TW system, it doesn't negatively affect the performance it's just not the greatest thing since sliced bread like Diawa claims it is.

New Year - New Gear
I needed a crankbait rod and of course when you give a mouse a cookie he needs milk as well so I bought a reel to go with it. This season I'm also looking to spend time fishing jerkbaits and jigs, two techniques I've never caught fish on. Okuma Helios TCS 7' crankbait/jerkbait Okuma Helios TCS 6.6:1 Spro McStick 110s Siebert Outdoor Brush Mata Jigs I'm excited for the jigs they look deadly w/ that Owner deep throat hook.

Is the consolidation of brands going to limit Crankbait innovation?
Awesome, thanks. One of my other favorite lures is the Xcalibur xrk50. It’s still similar w/ Booyah but just not quite the same, I’m expecting the same thing to happen to the little N and DD series.

Have any of the Norman lures changed yet?
