  1. Live in WI, not exactly Florida weather lol
  2. I noticed my line gets a slight kink from going over my top guide once I put my rod glove on and it's stored away for a little bit. Does this happen to you guys? Do you guys re-tie or do you still fish with it? Can I prevent this at all? Thanks! The line is sunline supernatural after a few days.
  3. I think so. I had a MH and it felt very stiff and not too sensitive. I think a M will be perfect for what you're using it for.
  4. Hey guys, I was thinking about picking up some x-raps. I've heard good things and they have some awesome colors (Hot Pink/Clown) that I think would work really well WI smallies. I was just wondering what size you guys prefer. I was leaning towards the 08, it's a bit on the small side at 3 1/8" and a 1/4oz. I know it has a weight transfer system but would this cast well on a baitcaster? p.s I'll be throwing it on an M/F Okuma Helios rod/reel combo rated 1/4 - 5/8oz. Thanks!
  5. Fluorocarbon or Braid depending on application, clarity, abrasion resistance, etc..
  6. 7' med w/ 1000 reel Just curious was it casting or spinning rod?
  7. Hey guys, I have their crawball football jig and it seems quality. Wire tied and really tough paint I was wondering if anyone has tried their Big Rubber Jig? (Skirt/action/opinions?) Thanks!
  8. Should've mention this sooner. I have the 6'9 MH Martin APC and the 7'6 H Flipping/Jig rods. They're by far my favorite set ups. I got them for around $100 after doing some searching online. Easily worth $150 or more.
  9. I had a 7 MH/F 2.0 and It wasn't sensitive at all which might come in handy for flipping cover. What's your budget cause TW has the Dobyns Extreme series on sale.
  10. Izorline XXX Floats, low stretch, great knot strength and I like that fact that you get twice as much as yo zuri. 10lb 600yds - 15.99 vs 10lb 1500yds -16.99. 10lb breaks around 14.5 and 12lb around 18/19. Yo-Zuri is good I just think XXX is a little better deal.
  11. I got to borrow my friends zodias spinning rod paired with a stradic CI4+ And with a Texas rigged bait I could literally feel every pebble and every piece of structure. Most sensitive rod I've ever held. Looks sweet too haha
  12. Glad my post on DD22's could spark some dialogue lol
  13. Most of the wacky rig bites I've had are fairly noticeable, that or you can see your line start to move to the side. 7' M/F micro magic pro Shimano Stradic FJ 15lb Power Pro/10lb Yo Zuri Hybrid
  14. When a jig is under water the silicon and rubber stand up revealing the trailer so I wouldn't say they get lost in the skirt. I see where you're coming from though, still not as big of a profile as a full size creature bait. I use the regular paca chunk on finesse jigs and the Sr. size on my full size jigs.
  15. 1. As a beginner the most difficult thing for me is learning the seasonal patterns of bass and the structure they relate to. 2. When you're not paying attention while fishing a topwater and a bass explodes on it.

Hey guys, I plan on really focusing on cranking next season. I did a little research and purchased some DD22 in colors to cover all my bases. So far I have Chili Bowl, SX Shad, Chartreuse/Blue, Natural Shad. I think that covers shad/natural imitation, crawfish, and bright colors. I also want to purchase some DD14s and Deep Little Ns. My Questions: Q1 - A few colors I noticed that people liked were Black Splat and Lavender Shad. What water clarity and conditions would you fish these colors in? Q2 - Also, where I fish (Wisconsin) there's a lot of bluegill, what color would you guys recommend for a bluegill imitation? At TW they have a sunfish color that looks like it would work any others you recommend? Q3 - When would you choose a Deep Little N vs DD14? Any other sleeper colors you can suggest are appreciated too! Thanks!
  18. Xcalibur xrk50. Catches everything.
  19. Wow, awesome deal. TW still has them for $199. You'll like it a lot, wish I would've seen that deal.
  20. For my list Rods: Falcon Reels: Daiwa Baits: Tubes (smallmouth), Crankbaits, topwaters Techniques: Finesse and Deep Cranking This was my first year really getting into fishing. Can't wait till next season, until then I'll settle with reading bassresource and watching tons of youtube videos! haha
  21. Jigs, cranks, plastics, walking baits, terminal tackle, and a million other things. Bitter sweet getting all these baits I can't use till spring. Felt like a kid digging through it all though! haha
  22. Fast Action does the trick. My ideal jig rod would probably be MH/F 7'1-7'3
