I use 8lb for some stuff which is equivalent to 12lb invizx. I though jerkbaits were more of a light line technique. Notice any differences with the larger line?

Are they light wire hooks?

Perfectly fine. My go to is Izorline xxx and YZH in 15lb. Not sure how manageable 20lb is but give it a shot.

A copolymer such as izorline xxx or a line like yo-zuri hybrid are pretty versitile and can be used for most applications.

Those VileCraws are awesome. Alabama craw looks great, definitely my favorite color.

Hey guys, I'm in the market for a line to go on my jerkbait/crankbait rod. It's most likely going to be YZH. I know a lot of you use YZH and was wondering what size you guys suggest. Tackle Tour used 12lb when they tested the vision 110 but that seems a little thick. Suggestions? Thanks!

The FG knot is a very strong know but also very easy to tie incorrectly. The leader can end up slipping out of the braid. For that reason I just stuck with the Alberto. Rather fish with a knot I have confidence in and I know is stronger than another knot I tied incorrectly. An Alberto knot tied correctly and proper drag won't break.

I bought 8lb red label during TW 25 days of Christmas. I wanted to test the breaking strength but I could even do it because the knots kept failing. They weren't breaking just slipping. I wet the knot plus slowly cinched them down. I tried my favorite knot the San Diego jam, palamor, improved clinch, and trilene. All with the same result. Eventually I tried a double palamor and it worked perfectly. Just add another overhand knot before you pull it over the hook. give it a try!

You didn't ask but yo zuri and izorline xxx would be great great alternatives. I don't think anyone NEEDS floro. It's not the most manageable mainline. Plus you can get a 1200 yd spool of xxx for $16.

I have a Medium-Light 310 pro combo. I got it for some finesse bass applications and it handled them fine. I took it out west to do some trout fishing and it worked perfectly. I've also used it to troll for walleye and no complaints. The reel itself is extremely smooth and is really well made and sturdy. On a side note, I snagged my hook and was yanking it out and broke the tip of my rod and they sent me a replacement in like a week. I was worried it wouldn't be shipped in time for my fishing trip but they sent it out next day. Great customer service!

Nice! My favorite line, nothing agaist YZH I use that too. I think you'll like it. It's surprisingly limp, I use 15lb for jigs and 12lb (20+ and 17+ break strength) for traps and spinnerbaits. Good deal for how much line you get too!

I've had both as well and like SMITTY said the ghost had a softer tip and was more sensitive. I had the MH Veritas and it was really stiff. The ceramic guides on the Veritas are sensitive as well. I had to have it shipped to me 3 times because they kept breaking when shipped. On the other hand the guides on the ghost didn't handle braid well, definitely groves from braid.

I zorline xxx is awesome. I think it's more limp than YZH and you get 1500 yards compared to 600 for about the same price. breaking strength is also similar.
