I use a bait by Old River Lures called Mr. Hootie. It is local bait that is pretty popular in MS and LA. It comes in all weights but is smaller than your average size spinnerbait. It comes with the old style skirt and has the twist tie instead of the r bend. Really a good bait.

This is very sad to hear, prayers to the family.

I tried cutting the keeper off and using the gel glue but I went back to using the keeper. I couldn't keep the plastic on with the glue. I sure plenty have used the glue but I just couldn't get it to work for me.

My vote for Z Man also, great baits that last a long time.

I mostly practice C & R but I have no problem in keeping some to eat. Saying that, I prefer crappie over bass any day.

I wear the old style life jacket. I always have my killed switch hooked up. I found a jacket that is comfortable to me and I don't have to worry if it will work or not, I guess old age has something to do with my decision. It is not the law here to wear one or have the kill switch hooked up, it's something I do so i can fish the next time.

Go when you can, go early, stay late, catch fish.

Always some type of crankbait, a spinnerbait or chatterbait, and a Ned Rig.

I don't think I have ever bought an extended warranty on anything and never wish I had so I am ahead of the game, If it makes you feel better, get it, I wouldn't.

Bite the bullet and go get another can, it is worth it.
