Yo Zuri hybrid sensitivity?
It's a very budget friendly line, but unlikely one that you'd toss in the trash if it's isn't everything you were looking for. 12# will do just about everything, but check out their diameters relative to other lines. Not much risk in making the purchase. For me it's a good fit for a crankbait rod that you know you will be respooling often. If I need sensitivity, I'm going to throw fluoro.

Buzzbaits
Straight out of the package the Cavitron is my favorite. White or Black. Not sold on the idea that blade color matters. I don't notice a difference in the number of bites with a plastic added but they seem to eat it better. Also have days that the skirt and a trailer hook get it done.

Use and pairing?
The MGL should perform well for the lure rating of that rod (1/4-1/2oz). My first thought would be jerkbaits, squarebills, top water and lighter spinner baits. They are listed as Extra Fast, so I would also opt for a line that's got some stretch. Just my thoughts...

@Team9nine she likes you... And I can't say for certain, but I do believe I've caught the same one multiple times. I also take horrible photos. The fish above was a solid 5 and I made it look like a 3 ? so photo comparison would be challenging.

Warranty - favorable or fiendish experiences
For product that arrives damaged, broken or defective, that's usually pretty easy. Several companies will provide return shipping free of charge. If not, it's worth asking for it. I typically use the retailer I purchased from in this situation. I have used a couple manufacturer warranties for product that I've received and used for an amount of time and then had a claim. Falcon and Fish Monkey are my most recent, and both were pleasant. Falcon allowed me to cut the blank and send a small piece of the rod to avoid shipping a full tube. It was a few bucks to do that but afterward the only thing I paid was the difference in the original and the replacement rod (I upgraded). The reason for the rod breaking was not a "normal fishing condition". More recently I had a pair of Fish Monkey gloves that the pull tab and seam on the ring finger all came apart. I sent a photo, the type of glove, my size and my address (all in an email) and they sent me a brand new pair at no cost. I know the gloves are a fraction of the price of a rod but I appreciate a company that stands behind their product. Most return/warranty policies are posted online. They are worth reading if you're making an investment and deciding between multiple companies/products. Honorable mention... I've not used their warranty but I've contacted Dobyns with questions. Top notch service there. Same with Falcon (see above).

Line for Jigs
Backing is a $$$ saver. If you're buying line specifically for filler I would suggest a larger diameter. I find spools of 20# at Wally for just a few dollars.

Flipping switch?
Also, only comes on the high speed 8.3:1 model.

Line for Jigs
The lure is decelerating faster than the spool and causing an overrun. Braking systems are very good, but a trained thumb is the answer! Not saying I don't backlash once in a while...?

15-17# fluoro. Find a seaguar that fits your budget.

New BasiX FC and TaxtX braid coming out from Seaguar next year.
Admittedly, I reserved a couple spools of Seaguar BasiX when the pre-sale became available. Now that it's being marketed more aggressively as we approach the release in January, I enjoy reading the product descriptions. Some have me thinking, if it's as good as they claim nobody will need to buy their premium lines. Do I expect it to compete with Tatsu, or even Invizx? No... But they sure make it sound like it will be a player. What I do expect is good knot strength and manageability in the smaller diameter, lower # tests. For me, the true test of the line will be manageability in the jump from 15-20# test. It appears the Basic #15 will be .014 diameter, with no option for a 17# test, while the others come in at .013. For $10 a spool I'll give it a fair shot.

@jbsoonerfan BTW if you travel for games and ever find yourself in Morgantown, let me know!

As I hinted to previously, I think we're just cracking the surface on the conference shuffling. OU and UT are just the first few domino's in what I expect to be a colossal overhaul. Glad to see Bob will be back on the sideline and curious to see if it's more than just an interim bowl game gig.

@jbsoonerfan Any surprise that happens and Lincoln knew he was on his way out? Happened to us in 2007... The 13-9 loss to Pitt, knocking us out of the BCS National Championship game (where I still believe we would have run circles around Ohio State). So, it comes full circle. Mark Stoops to OU. Neal Brown goes home to Kentucky and Rich Rod returns to Morgantown. Yep, I said it lol.

First of all, great game. I think you got the short end of the stick in officiating tonight, but I guess that can be expected playing on the road. As a WVU fan I have an interest in Houston's effort to spoil Cincinnati's party, and I see ND lurking back there waiting to slide in (because, well it's ND). But, if Ok St beats Baylor and finishes 12-1 as a conference champion and 2 wins over top tens to end the year, that's hard to keep them out. Until conference and playoff structure changes (and both will, drastically I believe) any time the Big 12 gets a team in it's a win. Don't be surprised if Bama beats UGA in ATL and the SEC still sneaks 2 in this year. But I digress, still a lot of football to be played before it's set in stone. Wishful thinking... Georgia, Michigan, Cincy & OK St.

What fishing knot to tie?
Braid - Uni (though eye twice) or Snell Fluoro - Double Pitzen Copoly/mono - Palomar Alberto for connecting braid to leader Always exceptions but this covers most of it.

Credit/Debit Fraud
I use mine for flight points. I only fly a couple times a year so it usually takes care of that expense. Anyway, when my new card arrived I called and asked if they would add points to my account for the purchases I made while I was waiting for the card to arrive, and for the inconvenience. DECLINED!

Rebuild old reels or buy new?
Might be worth checking with @Delaware Valley Tackle for parts. He's also the guy for reel service that comes highly recommended by the users here.

Rebuild old reels or buy new?
Great reel. Worth a little TLC to keep it going if it's even necessary. Take a quick peek and see what "the greenies" are going for on eBay...
