  1. Congratulations to Tucker Lonnie ! That smile is worth a million bucks !! Doug
  2. Beautiful fish. Ready to spawn too.
  3. My Diawa sv105 has been impressive. It's surpassed my expectations. That is my suggestion.
  4. It's the Zippo lighter of fishing reels.
  5. I wish I could afford extra niceness.
  6. You answered your own question. Ernest conversation. It's not about the "fishing" , it's about the time. My wife and I grocery shop together. That's commitment.
  7. I showed this to my wife. She was equally impressed. Definitely something to show off !!
  8. Boomerang Snips. Worth every penny.
  9. I'm a patrol sergeant for a city agency. I submitted my letter of intent to retire two weeks ago.
  10. I never ever use a snap swivel, just a quick clip. There are several good brands out there. I only apply them to crankbaits after the split ring has been removed.
  11. Bandit 100 but i've never seen that color scheme. Could be a knock off.
  12. Have a kidney stone lazered. That'll make your upper lip sweat.
  13. A photo would be helpful. If you bought it from an on site dealer, exchange it. Other wise call the seller or Dobyns Rods. They will do the right thing.
  14. There is one dock on my home lake where the owner takes issue of anyone being even close. They put a large industrial sprinkler on it with a motion detector. Get within 20 yards and the pump starts and it sprays out about 25 yards. It's to keep the " geese " off her dock. Pretty ingenious actually. You know that that white stuff is on the top of goose s**t ? Yup, it's more goose s**t. .
  15. Lower ratios in left hand are a bit more difficult to find but there are some good ones available. The 5 to something reels seem to be considered deep cranking reels and are marketed as such. There are applications for all of the ratios.
  16. Your question is the T wing the big deal it's made out to be ? I say no it's not. I own and still fish numerous Lews models and for good reason. They perform well. I also wanted to know if the T wing was something special and had the opportunity to acquire a Tatula 100 at a very good price. The T wing was no big deal. What the reel did provide was the benefits of the cast control system and the gear train and it's ability to provide a sense of being connected to low vibration moving baits. It was those factors that piqued my interest in other Diawa models and I have since added Tatula CT, CT-R, SSSV, OG Zillion, SV103, SV105 and an Original Fuego. With that said, if you try a T wing and that would be good thing, realize the other design aspects of the Diawa will probably show up as well.
  17. Okuma Spinning reels are actually very good. I had an Inspira and liked it just fine.
  18. I wish my butt looked that good.
  19. I fish a Ned Rig on my sturgeon rod.
  20. Today is the first day I've worn a short sleeve shirt at work since last October. I scraped the ice off the windshield yesterday morning.
  21. Diawa Tatula CT and the best rod you can find on sale. My co-worker just started bass fishing and I handed him my CT, set it and he was winging the baits in 15 minutes. At 100 bucks it's the way to go.
