Sahara Spinning Reel
I have been a long time shimano user. Shimano has gone cheaper quality with their spinning reels. They are still decent reels but the components have gotten cheaper.

Favorite species (outside of bass)
Anything that swims and is biting. I like them all.

Bantam 1000 SG
Any of the straight handles should fit. If you bend the drag star a little you should be able to use a swept handle.

What type of fish is this?
Yeap. Baby green sunfish.

Can you put a handle with 2 grips on a spinning reel?
I have a few of the spirex 1000fe reels that i still use. I did switch them to a one handle design though. In my opinion they are very good reels. Mine are just as smooth as my stradics and sustains. I may be one of the few who likes the quick fire trigger. I just wish the reels were a little lighter. I

Trilene Big Game
Maybe you got a bad spool or had some bad knots. Big game is usually some pretty tough line. It usually doesn't break even when you want it to.

How good is the Shimano ALDEBARAN BFS XG?
I use mine for light topwater lures. Its great for small poppers. The 8:1 gears is great for fast retrieves over dead water or when they are schooling to fire another cast out.

How do I prevent my line from getting stuck in the line roller?
Make sure the screw that holds the line roller is tight. A loose screw will allow a gap.

Are these all the same species?
^^^ I agree. Even within the same species looks can differ a little

Shimano Crucial History?
I use to love those first generation crucials. I had five if them. 6'6" to 7'. I still have the 7' model. Its very heavy compared to today's rods. I still have a 7' hvy canais casting rod also. I have owned every generation crucial, except for the foam handle model. Never cared much for the foam handle.

Show off your Stuff
Nice all spinning lineup.

Bream beds
Probably bluegills or red ears. A lot of times they will bed together Crickets for the bluegills and worms for the red ears.

Baitcaster handle swap?
The tournament MB 7.5:1 ratio comes with a swept 85mm handle. The 5.6:1 comes with the 95mm handle.

Zillion Rods
I like how they went with the full handle instead of the split. I didn't like the skinny blank showing on the split handle. It just didn't look right.

Another fish ID
Golden shiner. Biggest one i ever caught was about ten inches long. I hear they can grow up to twelve inches.
-
ID this fish please
Toadfish. They live on the bottom and wait for prey to swim by.

ID this fish please
Thats a nice size sea bass. They're pretty good eating too.

Today was not my day
My wife use to work for a Dodge Chrysler and Jeep dealership. She said their quality was terrible. Brand new vehicles with recalls that couldn't be fixed. New vehicles that wouldn't start soon after being purchased. The list went on and on. Just very poor quality and workmanship

ID this fish please
Definitely not a black sea bass. Looks like a small white grunt but not for certain. There are several grunt species that look similar. White grunt do inhabit Florida saltwater.
-
Can you identify this fish for me, please? I want to eat it.
I believe what you have there are called rock wrasse. They inhabit the California coastal waters and can get around 12" long. I would assume they are safe to eat, as most fish are, but not really for certain.

Need Advice Quick: Shimano Core 50mg7 or Shimano Chronarch CI4+ 150
Got rid of my chronarch CI4 's and kept my cores. The only drawback about the core is no saltwater usage.

What is this fish?
Looks like a grass carp from that angle

High Quality Reel For Cheap $
Sounds like you have a bad bearing. Water probably got in an started to corrode some of the parts.

How much is to much
To me it depends on the kind of fishing you do. I bass fish 90% of the time. But I also have rods for catfish, crappie, saltwater and bank fishing. So i have to have enough combos to cover all those situations and more.
