I'm so sorry for your loss,and for the kids losing Mom. I lost a parent at an early age so I understand from a kids perspective. I pray for strength for your entire family.

Agree with this^^^. Also,if I was the guy buying fishing gear for Walmart I'd be paying attention right about now because I see an opportunity to gain some market share. They are the only player in the game that's big enough to force BPS to remain cost competitive.

When I lived in Ohio I would make the 3 hour drive north to Dundee to visit the Cabela's there and always came away impressed. I figured it must have been their flagship store because they really did it right. Huge selection of tackle no matter what you fished for. The BPS near Ft Myers is a mixture of fresh and salt water gear,but honestly it seems like there is more emphasis on clothing than fishing gear. Must be where the $$$ is.

Dang!! Those are too big to be walking around the bank fishing as far as I'm concerned. If I ever see one eyeballing me like the one in Bassobsessed's pic you can be sure I will keep one eye on him. I don't normally fear critters but I sure do respect them!

No way the Rams pay him what Michigan is paying him. Plus they wouldn't give him the control he would have to have to run the team his way. That being said,as a die hard Buckeye fan I would LOVE to see Harbaugh leave Michigan cause at some point in the future he's going to be trouble for the Bucks.

I'm with you geo g. Years ago I was in the Ding Darling preserve on Sanibel and came upon a 4ft. gator that showed no fear of us. The park ranger told us that this gator had been fed by humans and therefore would have to be removed from the preserve. People that feed wild animals have no idea what they're doing and probably don't care.

That's why I look before I put my foot down when I'm walking around ponds and rivers. Never know when a snake will appear.

To be sure,I respect the heck out of gators. And any other critter that can eat me. And I would never feed one of them.

Some of you might remember that I just recently moved to SW Florida from Ohio. While I've not been able to do much fishing yet I did manage to fish a local pond yesterday in the community where I live. Walking around the pond I saw my very first gator sunning on the concrete spillway. While not a monster it did get my attention,and I couldn't help but think there had to be it's momma somewhere close by. It showed no fear of me at all. I did manage to catch a couple of bass and lost what felt like a good one,all on a pb@j craw.

This story is a sad reminder of where we've fallen to as a society where common sense and courtesy are no longer the norm. Why is it so difficult for grown men to act like grown men? Not everything should be taken as a personal attack.

The one thing I'll miss moving from Ohio to Florida is Fall weather. But I like the heat so if it gets too bad here there's a great big ocean not far from me. Or I could just jump in the pool to cool off. Being a non boater I don't have to worry about that crowd thank goodness.

My beloved Buckeyes are a year away from seriously contending for the championship. Way too many freshmen and sophomores on the O line to hold off the likes of the Clemson and Alabama pass rush. I'm taking Alabama to run the table. This year.
