I quit listening to anything called country music when Randy Travis started to fade way back whenever that was. I don't even recognize the names any more. And I haven't watched any so called awards shows since the 80's. On a lighter note,since I play guitar and sing, I can make my own music.??

I was just thinking the other day that since I just moved to Florida three weeks ago,it still seems like summer to me. Not sure what to expect here for fall and winter.

I gotta be honest here. I've been using spinning reels since the first Garcia Mitchell reels came out and this is the first time I've ever heard this. It makes perfect sense! I've been using Spirex reels for so long and never had any issues with engaging the reel and this Sienna just threw me a curveball. Always great to learn something new! Thanks to pawpaw and fishnkamp!

I bought a used Shimano Sienna 4000 FD spinning reel a while back. Yesterday while fishing I noticed that after casting and turning the handle to engage the reel,occasionally the reel handle where was very hard to turn. Sometimes the reel engaged quickly and smoothly as it should,but when it didn't it was really noticeable. Anyone have an idea what's causing this?

Just moved to Florida a few days ago and already some jerk in a Lexus flipped my wife off because he couldn't get around her in traffic. Funny how little boys like that don't do that when I'm with her. I would have no problem "addressing" his attitude problem.

Thanks Mike. Right now I'm just hoping I can get to my new house in PG!! I'm on the way down and was blessed to finally find a motel room south of Atlanta. I'm a tad over 500 miles from PG and the tv guy is saying there might be a shortage of gasoline! Sure didn't plan on this. Movers are supposed to show up Friday morning. Fishing isn't too important at the moment!

Inconsiderate people are becoming the norm every place it seems. Common courtesy is not very common at all no matter where you are or what you are doing. When I was a kid it was water skiers coming too close to the boat. Occasionally I would fish with an older guy who would tie on a few ounces of lead and treble hooks to toss their way. They got the message soon enough.

Well,retirement is finally here. I move to PG in a couple of days and after a week or so of getting the family settled I'll be looking for a place to cast a line for bass. Looking for small lake,river,or pond suggestions for some bank fishing till I get my first kayak.

In a few weeks I'm retiring and moving to Florida. What I feared the most happened a few days ago when the M.I.L. Casually mentioned how much she would like to live there too. I told my wife I was gonna send her mother a brochure from the most expensive assisted living place in Naples and tell here that's what it costs everyplace in Florida. Glad things worked out in your favor OP.

Awesome you got to experience this. Some day I would like to go to Italy and see where my grandparents came from.

Awful young at 45. And what's with the no seatbelt? I used to watch the show all the time but after a while got burned out on seeing father and son at each other's throats so often. I never knew if a lot of the unsafe things the loggers did was for TV bravado or if they were just indifferent about it. Either way, as a safety guy I used to cringe at some of their actions. R.I.P. When I was a kid seining craws out of the river they were always changing colors as the months progressed. Catching them right after a shed is different than a couple of days later when they are already "peelers",or starting to harden up a bit. Just one more way nature is so amazing.
