  1. I agree with the OP, I retired last year at 55. I am single with no kids and all my friends are still working. I have no problem doing a lot of stuff solo but other that the weekend club tournaments, I don’t see a lot of people. I worked for Advance Auto parts for a week at what was supposed to be a driver job but they actually needed weekend register people. I’m not big on up selling and add on selling. I put in for Kroger stocking last week.
  2. Not exactly in line with what you are asking but Berkeley makes a 2 wire that takes 2 baits on hooks and a spinner in the middle
  3. Pad Crashers walk the best of all I’ve tried, but, they aren’t my go to because I thing the narrow space between the hooks compared to most other frogs affect my hook up ratio. I fish strike kvd because it walks good, has a good hookup and is cheaper than most make brand name frogs. Bonus is you can pick them up at Walmart. My Walmart only has the small pad crashers
  4. That could be it. I thought I remembered pointers being in the $15 range at one time. The “Their price” on these is $9.99 I think. I threw my boxes Away.
  5. If I had a 20%, I would have bought them all for eBay. I did get a couple pointers
  6. Can someone school me on the Lucky Craft USA vs regular Lucky Craft? Ollie's Discount in Frankfort KY has at least 100 for sale for $7.99. I don't follow the Japanese stuff but that seems cheap for Japanese made lures. I usually have a 20% off coupon but they didn't have one current at the time. Thanks
  7. I put a small piece of hose over the line tie to keep the snap or direct tie from sliding i don’t understand the vibration VS wire size thing. Blades are never mentioned. Does a thick wire turn a big Colorado into a small willow?
  8. No clue but I fish a lot of wake baits. The jointed ones I have, 6th sense speed wake, lucky craft and Mikey, look like swim baits in the water. Lots of action but not wild. The 6th sense movement slams side to side. The KVD wake and Berkley bull wake are kind of in between. At least for me
  9. Thank you gentlemen
  10. What is that segmented body trailer? I bought some of the Z man non skirted bladed heads that I’m looking for something like that to throw on them. Sorta like what you have there
  11. I’m a junkie myself. I had not seen these. That 63 looks interesting. 2 1/2 inches 5/8’ounce. I prefer the larger baits
  12. That’s sad. I put the kayak away a bit earlier than most I believe for this very reason
  13. Thanks guys. Think I’ll go without them again.
  14. Thanks. This is exactly what I'm looking for. I fish my rods. I have a low end wrapper and dryer.
  15. 4 hours. 1.5 is common for a day trip. Leave at 4am. Fish 8-4. Fish 7-3 next day. Home by 7pm
  16. Thanks. I changed out some foam grips for a thicker set a couple years ago and just smoothed epoxy around the end. It looks acceptable but I have another one I'm doing and I think they make a better finished look. I'm not stripping the rod. Coming in from the butt end so it looks like rubber will be the deal
  17. What is the trim piece that is behind a foam grip and in front of a foam butt? I looked on Mudhole, all their trim rings are aluminum so that's not it. Could be a winding check maybe. I couldn't tell what they are made of. Thanks
  18. I haven't seen the odds improve fishing slower play out in the smaller tournaments that I fish. Some days the finesse guys win and some days the reaction guys do. I havent seen any domination by either style. I'm sure it's different in different parts of the country
  19. I do fish mostly cranks year around. Just have to move out off the bank. I'm pretty hyperactive so I can't take alot of worm dragging before I'm bored
  20. 69 Chevelle for me. 2 radial tires and 2 bias ply. None matched
  21. I'm guessing it is supposed to have the deflection action without actually hitting anything. I wonder how the bill will hold up with the occasional rock strikes though
  22. There are alot of Lucky Craft LV-300 silent on eBay. 2 for $14.95 but looks like they are all 3/4 ounce though. There are a few of the silent Spro in stock on ebay
  23. I have some Chinese ones that Wlure sells on eBay that are 3.5"
  24. Academy Sports H2O brand has a couple different styles and depths for around $5. I have a couple. No complaints
