JT - do you have any summits? how do you think the 2 compare?

I just read something about Grade A cork grips and that got me thinking...What's the difference in the grades of cork used for grips and how does that translate to the angler? are better grades more sensitive? etc.

Cumara entered the market as a bottom-bouncer. Which Carrot Stix are you wanting to compare? i just wanted to compare them as far as sensitivity, weight, and enjoyment of fishing.

How do these 2 rods stack up against each other? Is the Cumara worth the $50 premium? What does everyone think?

if you are really wanting to get a rod in that price range my vote would be for st. croix legend tournament.

the ones i saw today were all casting rods... as far as their weight - i have several avids and a couple legend tourneys and the weight for this cortland was comparable to the avids. i couldn't believe it.

Does anyone own a Cortland Bass rod? I saw some today and a tackle store and they are unbelieveably light. I flipped over the price tag expecting to see around $200 and the things were $65! I didn't buy one yet - I wanted to see if any of you had any experience with them first.

i've got both the avid and a legend tourney and i'd say go for the upgrade to the LT...the avid's are sweet but the LT's are even better

not one vote for the Quantum Tour Edition PT???? These seem to be so popular among the pros that I was leaning towards it.

i read it too and thought the same thing - i'll bet you someone, somewhere ruined a rod after reading that article. :-?
