  1. haha. One of the guys I ride bikes with and go trout fishing with, he works as a Surveyor and he said back in the 90s he was climbing a mountain for work, and he told me he saw a moonshine still and just kept walking in other direction. He wasn't sure if there was any booby trap in area and he wasn't going risk it. lol. I wish I could come to the roadtrip, I would stop by liquor store pick up a couple jars for those of you that never had fine Tennessee moonshine. It legal here.
  2. I'm banking on fact if iPhone soars in popularity at Verizon the price of andriod will go down. My phone available for an upgrade soon, but I won't be purchasing a smart phone. I guess I'll stick to my simple phone for few more months or another year.
  3. White Lightin' Yes, but Corn Whiskey, no. They added 80% corn and 20% something else and the end result is tastier than pure alcohol. It's pretty good. I'm feeling pretty relax after couple glass of apple pie, but not that buzz. The White Lightin' is 100proof.
  4. I went to the Ole Smoky Distillery today and I sampled 4 different types of Moonshine: White Lightin', Corn Whiskey, Apple Pie, and Cherry. The cherry was just cherry soaked in shine. I didn't care for it, but the Corn Whiskey and Apple Pie blew my mind! I bought jar of White Lightin' and they gave me the recipe for Apple Pie Shine. I bought finest Apple Cider you can get from nearby Sevierville at the Applebarn. Only thing about this recipe, it a lot of apple compare to a jar of moonshine. The end result was still tasty, but it's not that strong, might need add another jar of shine to it. I'm guessing I'll get tired of drinking the Apple Cider/juice before I even feel the shine. :-/ Next time I'm pick up the Corn Whiskey, it's smooth enough for drinking straight up. It would be a sin to mix that! Here their website if anyone interested:http://www.olesmokymoonshine.com/
  5. Lucky Miles to Michigan...I wouldn't be shock.
  6. I'm looking for a combo for some backcountry trout fishing in the Smoky Mountain. Nothing too expensive. I'm looking at this for the moment: http://www.basspro.com/White-River-Fly-Shop-Fly-/-Spin-Rod-and-Reel-Combo/product/44266/-949449 It been a while since I've used a fly rod, and wouldn't mind using a spinning if anyone know a spinning rod that can break down to several piece to put into a case that can I strap to mine backpack please point me into that direction.
  7. It's a reality version of the Angry Bird for iPods and Iphones. I read this article:http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1344913/Animal-death-mystery-Two-MILLION-dead-fish-wash-Maryland-bay.html It's crazy!
  8. I don't think they will. If they change to Yen that great for us if the Yen stays depreciated to U.S. dollars. I doubt China will let it appreciate to U.S. dollars. It will kill their export business. Another reason I don't think they will, a lot of major countries even oil producers use U.S. dollars to back their country in event of economic crisis..dollar goes down, the price of oil rise or other commodities as a hedge. So, unless all the major players sell off U.S. dollars and find a new stabilizer, I don't see it happen. Euro under a lot of pressure with Greece and Ireland, so I doubt it be any time soon. I think other countries are too reliance on us to make the change.
  9. I heard quite a bit about Euro replacing U.S. dollars and I've heard other ideas, but who knows.
  10. It's not the price itself necessarily. It's the rapid ascent from "dirt cheap" to a considerable expense that really gets me. I'm 31, started driving when I was 16. Gas was under $1 when I first drove and last year it touched $4 near me and greatly exceeded it other places. Venezuela is cheapest gas the world. Middle East is pretty dirt cheap too. For speedbead, the rapid change is the price for barrel of oil and price of U.S. dollars. Not to mention some companies get stuck with higher price for the barrel.
  11. The U.S. dollar been slipping the last few months. Oh well. It's about an average of 2.90 here.
  12. I'm scared of graduating. I'm going to pull a Van Wilder. ;D
  13. Winter break is almost over. I partied my butt off in Indiana for New Years, backpacked in the Smokies while on a trout fishing adventure (couldn't catch a cold. ) I had high hope catching trouts in the Smokies without fighting the bears for them. Oh well. I did have a Coyotes stalking me, but the best he could do was leave a steamer on my backtrack. Anyway, class starts soon. Time to conquer Professionalism in Accounting, Financial Accounting II, Business Legal system, Organization Management, and Monetary Economic. Good luck to rest of you, the only easy semester was last semester.
  14. I'll admit I didn't think about the size of Chicago, but that errand would take me about 15 minutes in my town.
  15. LOL. Whatever helps you sleep at night, my analysis is pretty accurate.
  16. Nope. Their employees are general employees. Their wage is being paid whether they are shipping anything or not. They have no direct cost to shipping department. Bookkeeper has nothing do with shipping cost that probably administrative cost which is usually a period cost. It don't cost 9 bucks to ship a water bottle..but they obviously rather just charge the flat rate regardless of the content. I would have done it different. Believe me, I understand. They're just dumb. Screw it.
  17. Put it this way, I doubt a company of that size use ABC costing concept. I also doubt they ship that much item online since I only found them because I Google that water bottle. Therefore, I'm betting they have no direct labor in shipping department, no direct material cost in terms of labeling (it's probably expense under "office supply" as a period cost) therefore, the time it takes to print a tiny label stick it on a small box with flat rate is pretty darn fast and cheap....They're either dumb or greedy or both. The total cost by the way was like 15 some dollars, I didn't pay that much for my other two water bottles combine. That also includes taxes. Eh, screw it.
  18. Well, they are in business to make a profit. You're just getting no sympathy are you? ;D I don't mind paying shipping and handling, but 9 bucks when there are cheaper and faster alternative? Come on. I think in decimals and dollars. I ride bikes with the guy that owns the bike shop where I purchased my extremely expensive mountain bike from..I know the mark-up and the profit he made off of it...It not that high. If they want charge 9 bucks for shipping that small of an item when you can do it cheaper, that fine by me, but it won't be mine money. Oh well.
  19. Beside, it a local bike shop, if they didn't want spend extra time and labor on shipping items, they wouldn't be advertising to ship items. Just another way to increase profit margin by adding extra to shipping cost. I ordered a bike jersey not long ago, and it was shipping from California for $6.95 and had to weight more than the water bottle since I also ordered another item to go with it..... It don't cost them that much.

  21. The ones that carries Cannondale products are few miles away. Next time I venture into that area I'll check it out. The water bottle is discontinued I believe. Cannondale's website do not have it listed anymore.
  22. Dangit, wrong link. my mistake: http://kozy.com/product/cannondale-bunny-water-bottle-38969-1.htm
  23. I want this water bottle soooooooo bad: http://adventure-cycling.com/product/cannondale-bunny-water-bottle-38969-1.htm?Variations=&alert=OKalert I don't want it if they're going rip me off by charging 9 bucks for shipping and handling. Anybody in the Chicago area (I think that where this bike shop above is located) would pick this bottle up for me and ship it to me cheaper? I'll reimburse you for the money of course. I'm dead serious too. PM me if you can!
