  1. Oh I thought you might say "I was wrong, Iowa is a pretty good team. They must feed them boys something out there in Iowa to not be as bad as I said" : I would've picked Boise State over Iowa if they was to meet in bowl game. I still think Iowa overrated.
  2. ACC is that horrible? Good lord! At this point I rather watch peewee football play offense.
  3. Their offense is garbage. Half of the games they won, the other team played like they didn't wanna win the game. Example, Indiana... :
  4. Good game? yeah right, I'm expecting Iowa go back to Iowa with their tails between their legs.
  5. The real problem with being in debt up to one's eyeballs is, when you go do, you drag others down with you. And not just reckless creditors and lenders. I.e., the current economic crisis. p.s., this rant is not directed at you Tokyo. Credit is the lifeblood of the economy. Borrowing isn't bad, unless you borrow more than you can make. Eh, screw it, I've beaten this horse enough. I'm still in marvel over the tower. 900 residence, plus hotel, swimming pools, and restaurant. it an awesome engineer feat. I watch a show about how they was building it and it was pretty amazing. IMO.
  6. Lot of American's companies have office in Dubai. There are white Americans working in Dubai and walking around in public. Lot of Americans have visit Dubai without fear of being killed. Lot of businesses has boom in Dubai that not related to the oil industry, even turf grass. During housing boom lot of houses that were built in suburban area have turf grass instead of sand in their yard. ;D. My economic professor mention Dubai once or twice as an example while giving a lecture.
  7. If it was up to me...It would have been Boise State vs Florida, TCU vs Georgia Tech, Alabama vs Texas, let Cincy beat up on Iowa, and Ohio State vs Oregon. I'm not convinced Iowa should be there, but screw it. GT prove it tonight.
  8. It's Saban's defense. At Alabama he is the brain behind the defense. Smart just his defense assistant. Various of articles said this.
  9. How is this relevant? Dubai, United Arab Emirate is only place in Middle East I would visit... To get back on topic, one of reason why the tower is shape like that was for wind reason. The wind circles around building and go upward. instead of strong wind pushing against the building it circles around it and go back up. Pretty amazing engineer feat. Money launderers heaven. You would be pretty amazed at how much dirty money is there. But it is a cool looking building. So is Switzerland and Cayman Island and pretty much any banks or investment in foreign countries if you are smart enough. Who cares. The building itself was primarily funded by bonds and clean money.

  11. No, as a person who is majoring in accounting and minoring in finance, I must keep up with current economic news. The Wall Street Journal is pretty decent source. I don't search anything, I just read what I'm given and educate myself.
  12. This tower is pretty rad. http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748703580904574638111667658806.html?mod=WSJ_hpp_LEFTTopStories This is also same tower, in which the funding of it nearly sent another wave of defaulted security through bankers and investors that lent them money. But economic and financial aside, pretty nice tower, eh? I also saw it on a TV show when they was still building it. It was unreal.
  13. Alabama got a Heisman trophy winner, six 1st team All-Americans coming into this game. FYI, I hired a Haiti Voodoo witch to get rid of all the curse. ;D Hopefully Bama won't lay an egg and play this game until the bitter end. Hopefully it be a close memorable game in which Alabama emerge victorious for the first time over Texas.
  14. There was a play, where Cincy guy went in the air, his hand was on ground, ball at his chest, and his legs in air. He landed on his feet got up, got push out of bound by two Florida player and a personal foul was called on Florida. The guy was never down......I even rewind the TV to see it, he wasn't down... :-?
  15. Georgia Tech is going to rumble all over Iowa. :
  16. I just Googled it, my friend is in Seattle right now, I texted him and told him go there for me! ;D
  17. Yep, depending on who you believe. LOL, I would love to see any current NCAA football player go through a practice (let alone a season) with Bear Bryant or one of the other "old school" coaches. Speaking of old school coaches, Joe Paterno, after the arrest of couple football players getting in a fight in a bar, he punished the ENTIRE team by forcing them to clean up the stadium after every home game for entire season. I don't think I've seen a Penn State player arrested since. ;D What Burley posted is very interesting indeed. Makes Craig James look like a (insert word).
  18. Asinine.

  20. Congrats, Texas is richest football program in the nation in terms of dollars. http://espn.go.com/blog/sec/post/_/id/7544/alabama-most-valuable-team-in-sec If you go to Forbes click on "sport" you might find the original list and article. I was too lazy to do it myself, so I posted the link from SEC blog on ESPN.com
  21. It said he stepped down due to health reason. After Bama game he went to hospital due to chest pain. I guess it has to be serious for him to step down as a coach. Whatever it is, I hope he returns to a 100% health.
  22. Christmas Vacation. "We are going to be the jolliest @$$holes on this side of the nuthouse!"

I'm not defending him, I just find it hilarious that the companies let this happen to them. I'm done beating this horse.
  24. What I was going to say, I was pretty sure it was in 1989 just before I was born. ;D I think 9/11 and Stock Market crash will be remembered for the country as a whole during this decade. Events that I remember personally is graduation of high school, my glory days of baseball before having surgery, and my trip to Mexico, Cayman Island, and Jamaica.

Here what I cannot figured out, say he bought the tv for $64 bucks, and returned it for $600. If he showed a receipt it should have said he bought it at $64. He should have never got the real price back in full. I assumed the employees are not that stupid, therefore, I have reason to believe this took place at Wal-Mart and he told them he "lost" his receipt and Wal-Mart says "no problem, here your gift card." Even my grandfather will tell you, this is most B.S. policy of them all. Of course 600 dollar loss is insignificance to Wal-Mart, but a loss is a loss. And it a great loophole for thief to steal something and return the item for cash or gift cards. : Ubelievable. You call that a loop hole? Wal-Mart does this because they know people will make purchases there knowing they can take the product back if they aren't happy with it. Regardless if they threw the receipt away. That's peace of mind to the consumer. You call it a loop hole I call it customer service. I guess I don't think of things from the perspective of a thief. Well, thief are apparently taking advantage of it. : Case in point, it in the link on first page of this thread. :
