Im in Philly but I fish out of my kayak in south jersey. I didnt fish much there this past season as i concentrated my efforts on catching my pb at Nockamixion. I only fished it a handful of times but I really enjoyed fishing Lenape.

Ive fished there in the summer a few years back. but i fished the sand pits. actually caught my first bass out of my kayak there. did you end up going?

crazy to be fishing this time of year.

So i decided to try it out even though its like 35 degrees right now. The DX feels like a stout MH or a H with a nice firm parabolic bend to it. This is my first composite rod so im no judge of it but if you handed it to me with out telling me what it is id tell other than it being heavier in hand it that it feels like a MH with a nice bend but stiff enough to pop it out of heavy cover.

my slayer 10 is slightly lighter but anyways i put a rubber car mat on my trunk and rest the front of my kayak on it then push it up. but yeah i got crazy scratches on my car but its a old car thats on its way to the car graveyard soon haha.

I bought one but i havent used it yet. I figured if its not to my liking for chatterbaits i can use it for traps and the price was right up my alley.

for chatterbaits i really like the zman razor shads. they take a serious beating.

Decided to finally pick this rod up. Other than a few tw reviews theres not really any information about it. It seems like it's made from the same materials as other daiwa glass rods and for $80 why not. Picked up the tatula ct too so this chatter bait combo I got for under $200.

I had a decent year considering I fished a lot more due to this thing we had. Only thing I think I regret is not fishing more productive bigger waters.

thinking about picking one up too. i played with one in store and really liked the form fitting grip of the handles. it felt glove like and its pretty sexy to look at.

Id say Id split the two evenly but I get more bang per buck on rods since most of my rods used. Reels with all its parts I usually buy new unless its a steal.

I just ordered some floro to use for my jerkbaits. I feel like when using braid the lure seems to rise more than I'd like. That and thinking the floro might foul less than braid. No idea how its going to work but but I thought I'd give it a try.

Stripers are there to be had. Ive had success with RES in white. With tidal waters most times the outgoing tide is better.

spent the afternoon at nockamixon and scored the royal goose egg. looks like its a wrap for the year.

i think i remember hearing on one of those tackle warehouses/ daiwa showcase videos where one tw employee hinted the old cts might be going on clearance sale during these holidays. id probably ****** one if they hover around the $80 mark, since i still use my old ct's and really enjoy them but if its around $100 or more id probably look for a deal on the tatula 100.

Strike kings burner is one i like at times. going full blast on retrieves, which that ones good for can trigger some nasty bites. tw usually has strike king for 30% off on black fridays too.

Finally had enough free time to make the drive up to the nox. On my way I stopped by that shop anglers pro shop for the first time. Very nice selection of megabass. Picked up a few jerk baits and a dark sleeper. The dark sleeper was producing but that weed guard is a joke. But yeah I'll be buying more haha. I'm turning into a megabass fan and it's really hurting the pockets.

snag proofs phat frog or i think all frogs by snag proof have separate chambers from the hook so it never holds water.

Jackall kaera is a compact frog. kinda pricey though.

I like using my dobyns fury 704 which is labeled a heavy/fast. Its kinda like a mh but a touch thicker and the tip has a bit of give. I like how I can power snap it out of vegetation cleanly.

i would get a jon boat if i had plenty of driveway/garage space. if space is tight like it is for me the kayak is a nice way to go.

I like the hooks on them.
