you must be just a little above me im about 30 mins from the ill and wis boarder and i to vetured out in the freezing cold to catch some quality fish

my brother and I went out this morning to try our luck at some cold water bass we got to the lake at about 8:30 and both threw deep cranks him with a deep diving bomber and me with a jointed shad rap as were working our way down the shore line not even in the water a half hour and some shad bust the surface out towards the middle of the lake my brother throws out followed bye me i dont even get 3 cranks on the handle when he starts yelling a got a good 1 get the net so i couldnt even get my line in was hoping for a double but no such luck she went 19.5 and weighted 4.01 we went all the way down that side with out a neither bite and started coming back up the lake on the other side and he gets a dink probally 12 inches we fish all the way up that bank and casting out towards the middle and nothing when we get close to the gravel ramp he cathes a neither dink i catch a dink right after him my first fish of the day and he follows that up with a neither dink so we stop at the ramp and i switch up i went with a deep diving xrap we start back down the other shore line we get about 100 yards down and i hook this 1 out towards the middle of the lake she went 18' and weighted 2.87 we then fish just about the whole way down that side and it was gettin late so we trolled across to the other side and i picked up my jig rod first cast along shore and this brute hits she went 20.5 and weighted 4.67 we fish further up the bank maybe 100 feet and this 1 takes the jig she went 18.5' and weighted 3.44 we keep fishing up the bank i missed 2 or 3 more bites before we call it a day i wonder how i would of did if i would of picked up the jig rod first instead of cranking with my brother oh yeah air temp was around 35-39 degrees and water im sure wasnt much warmer on the way there there was ice in shallow water and our eyelets on our rods were icing up not bad for some mid november bassin we plan on going next weekend well be out there tell hard water ;D ;D

jigs and deep diving minnow lures worked best for me i will post my pics of fish i got 2 day

i have both reels the curado is a stronger reel holds more line and can use heavier lures if u want a super light reel for small to mid size lures the mg is ur reel if u want a reel to throw any and everything and not worried about weight then the curado is your reel

that 1 didnt jump he fought really weird when he first hit i thought a had a little fish then bam he fought like crazy then went limp and took off again the 2nd 1 caught right after hook set he shot about 4 foot out of the water he fought a lot harder even took some drag

my brother and i went walleye fishing we where throwing cranks along a wing dam and this brute hit my crank he was 12 1\2 pounds and 47 inches long those gar are every where in the river i fish but u seldom see them that big and very rarely catch them there pretty hard to keep hooked i caught aneither 1 about 8 pounds and 1 little bass then it was off to a different spot

what plug in are u using the big 1 that looks like a 220 plug or the small 3 pin 1 if ur using the small 3 pin 1 i would fix ur trolling motor then upgrade the plug and see if that fixes ur problem i also have a motor guide mines the brute 84 pds of thrust and its well over 5 years old and ran very hard and wide open fishing the mississippi river

that last fish sure looks like a large mouth to me but maybe u went small fish ;D ;D

i have a pond i have been fishing pretty regular we catch tons of small bass but seems every trip we get 1 above 3 pounds this is my first late at night what do u think it weighs

i bought my first swim bait i got 2 mission fish 6' 1 in baitfish the other in ayu know for the dumb question how do i fish them do i want to drag it over the bottom like a plastic or jig or do i want to swim it and if i swim it fast like a spinnerbait or more jerky like a rattle trap any help would be awesome my brother also bought his first swimbait he got a Spro BBZ-1 Swimbait 8" Slow Sink and i want to be the first to hook a hog

i got my cumara 2 days ago have been fishing both days and havin caught nothing its either the rod is waitng for my new pb to hit the lure or i have to quit taking the wife with me every time i have been to this 1 pond i always catch atleast 3 bass last 2 trips nothing im hoping its the rod waitng for a biggun and not my wife tagging along because im sure she well be upset having to stay home ;D ;D

i have 2 and i love those reels 1 is stock the other i have gone crazy with zpi handle cork knobs sic bearings upgraded drag there sweet reel for around 200-250

i buy and sell stuff all the time on ebay i always use paypal because then if theres a problem u can get ur money back most of the time but takes some hassle i have only had 2 bad experences 1 guy sold me a .99 walmart spinnerbait as a terminator which was my fault he had a pic of the lure and i didnt look at it very closely so yes theres crooks out there u just have to be careful

that combo sould suit u just fine i had a compre and loved that rod

i found a sand pit pond that is about 5 yrs old i caught 4 bass from 16 inches to 17 1\2 inches my question is what do u think the biggest bass in there will be im guessing probally 5 lbs since its in iowa and our growing season isnt as long as some others i figured a pound a year i was wondering what u guys thought from what i was told theres bluegils and crappie maybe catfish

the carrot stick is more of a moving bait rod cumara is more of bottom bouncing plastics rod im sure both can be used for anything but i would say thats what they best used as both are super light i would say the cumara would be more sensitvity

Citica with crankin rod each Shimano Curado DHSV 7:1 with other 2 loomis rods and use the winch revo stx with the flipping stick thats how i would pair them

i understand what ur saying and i try not to get involved unless it really apperent that there tryin to rip someone off i have sold alot of things on here some i try to give a really killer deal some things i sell for way under what there worth and some things i feel i sould get close to or a tad above market value ill give 2 to examples i was trying to sell my g-loomis rod and wanted 180 plus 20 shipping = 200 brand new from g-loomis was 240 plus shipping i also was tryin to sell a pinnacle matrix reel only used maybe 5 times new it was $150 seen them going for 100 on ebay i wanted to sell it for 50 with a extra spool hell of a deal if u ask me sometimes u can give a heck of a deal other times u try to break even

i dont do it and dont need to but heres a good story there was a guy that last fall caught a big bag of fish for where i live he posted pics and said where he was fishing he found a nice cove and had it all to him self he went out the very next day and what did he find but 20 boats fishing the exact spot so i understand why u do it

i will let u know how i like the rod i went backwards sold my 724 imx to buy the 6'8" meduim extra fast but i did it because i have a 844 imx & a arruis xl 6'8" and it was to dang hard to use the 7 and almost 7 foot rod then pick up my 6 foot rod i hear that they feel like a imx so i should be happy

i have braid on ever rod no mono for me thank you

i have the 844 imx and i love this rod have used it for frogs in the slop and jigs and plastics

u mean i get to be the first to post my outragious stuff 1 shimanio mg 50 $250 1 zpi handle with knobs and bearings $110 1 set of cork knobs $25 drag upgrade $45 bearing upgrade $45 close to $500 after all said and done but man do i love that reel oh yeah its on a loomis 844 imx $250
