yup mg 50 is the way to go i have 2 and 1 100d curado and for my heavy heavy setup i have a abu garica stx

the only wise words i can give u is no matter how bad ur doing someone is doing worse and no matter how good ur doing someone is doing better so dont ever give up

i bought a REVO STX-HS and i bought a g loomis mbr 844 my question is i own 2 mg 50's 1 curado 100d and the revo rods are g loomis cr724 g loomis mbr 844 g blank 6'10 heavy action team diawa advantage 5'6" med i have 1 mg on the cr724 i had the other 1 on the g blank but it makes the rod real tip heavy i put the curado on that rod and it balances a little better should i put the revo on the g blank and put the mg on the 844 since the 844 isnt split handle and would balance better i plan on teaching the wife to use the baitcasters and think the diawa and curado would be a great starter rod any help would be great

what about the baitcast version i see a guy on ebay sellin them all the time i did a search and all i could find where the spinning reels

lol what i meant is most of my rods have the hook hanger above the reel so when my plastics arnt in use they could be dropping saltwater or salt it self on the reel so i guess to be safe i shouldnt use salty plastics with that setup

dumb question but i have to ask it would the salts from ur plastic worms ruin ur reel or is that to small of an amount im in iowa and that would be the only way my reels would be around any salt

ill go along with raul but i just love the size 4 1s i buy every 1 i can find on ebay for under $10 thats where i draw the line nothing beats a fat rap in the spring and fall

i have 2 mg's 1 i just got not to long ago i spooled 1 with 12lb. mono and it worked horrible as soon as i took it off and pit braid on reel was fine i use braid for everything so i would say use braid i havnt had any problems using it on my mg's

i would get the compere i had 1 and there a great rod plus they carry a lifetime over the counter warrenty which i look at as buy the rod once own it forever no matter how clumsy u or ur friend is

i have 1 of there rods i had custom made so the guide wraps matched my reel and had my name put on it havnt used it let but cant wait as for weight my g blank is a 6'10" heavy and weighs the exact same as my 6' heavy imx g-loomis rod

humm im still lost there add on ebay says there g-loomis canada the 2 models of rods were 843 and 844 imx frontier the guy said they say imx on the rod they were split handle [which i have never seen from g-loomis ] he also said they carry the same warrenty all the others carry were talking 843 or 844 imx for 135.00 brand new free shipping sounds like to good of a deal

i have been talking to a guy from canada and he says he can get me candian loomis rods and there about 120 dollars cheaper then the us 1s any body else hear of such a thing they call them frontier rods made bye g loomis of canada or is this guy tryin to rip me off

i started with a lighting rod they are a decent rod but the more u spend the better they get so i would say yeah u got a pretty good deal fish them for a while and when u get more money upgrade someday maybe or maybe not all depends on u but them loomis rods sure are sweet

i went with custom because i got some jigs from spotaholic and they are awesome even come with rattles

i had 1 the accurist cx500 i think i bought a mg50 reel and sold all my heavy reels i posted it on here but before i could sell it my dad called and said i better be selling it to him he loves the flippin switch says there is no better thing when boucing a jig on the bottom and using the trolling motor u just click the buttom hold it in to let out line and let ur finger off and the reels ingaged no having to turn the reel handle

i love the yellow i take a black marker and color the last 2 or 3 feet

i dont own any bass pro rods or reels but i highly doubt there are any way near top loomis or croix ur talking about 2 companys that only do 1 thing build rods and there top of the line rods have many many years of research and testing unlike johnny rods that have only been on the market for a few years well thats my 2 cents take it or leave it my brother has a johnny reel and all he can say about it is look how long the handle knobs spin after u take ur hand off them

lol ok so they have yellow but do they have red or white just busting ur chops muddy man i have a spool of sufix put it on 1 reel and ended up selling that reel before i could give it a real shot still have some left when its spring here i will give it a shot again

power pro come in yellow sufix doesnt

the dt4's work great for me i dont fish much deep water my fav colors are bluegil,parrot,mustard,

if u have a cabelas or bass pro shop in ur area i would hit them up they have so pretty good rods on sale u have to go there in they dont post any sales on the internet for example i went to cabelas and got a shimano compre rod for 30 bucks there usally tiwice as much i also got a team diawa rod for 25 bucks
